This is typical leftist-think... Anybody else remember the guy with the pony-tail who was asking Bill Clinton a question, and referred to the POTUS as sort of a father?
The whole idea of being a leftist is to always remain a child, and the government becomes your parent. Providing for you, and making all the important decisions for you. Basically signing your life over to your overlords.
