Beyonce wowed millions around the world with her spectacular Super Bowl performance on Sunday but there may be no halftime show next year - as New Jersey is too cold.
The 2014 Super Bowl will be the first to be played outdoors in cold weather conditions and the centerpiece performance may be a casualty of freezing temperatures, it was revealed today.

Great, I’m sure Obozo is licking his chops..pre-game & halftime show to spew his commie propoganda
it’s on FOX
Our Grey Cup game is colder than any Superbowl game and we still have our half-time.
Spectacular? She acted like a ho who needed money right away.
Won’t bother me. I hope it’s 5 degrees at kickoff.
I will vote for no halftime shows ever, the way they are getting more and more depraved and racy. Take the rappers off stage!
You got it.
Have an old fashion group of hs marching bands.
Nice! didn’t read entire article..
Other than the visual, how about Al Gore in swimming trunks being sprayed with hoses for 20 minutes to show us the effects of global warming.

".....he's back to pass, he throws deep down the sideline, it's ...he's got it....?????..where'd he go?"
“NFL officials can’t work out how to put on the huge spectacle in wintry conditions.”
Maybe they could have the performers wear clothes.
Why are they even having the Superbowl in New Jersey?
The 2015 Superbowl was supposed to be in Kansas City...but with the condition that the public pay to renovate the stadium....and put a roof on it.
The taxpayers voted for the renovation, but not the roof.
And the NFL said ‘Take a hike’...and the 2015 Superbowl will be in Arizona.
Sooooo....why on earth is KC too cold, but its ok to play in Jersey?
BTW - Metlife was originally planned for a roof, too...but couldn’t fund it.
Needed repeating, BIGTIME!
thank God for small favors...
Put some clothes on.
Heck, The Beatles did their rooftop
concert in England on Jan30th 1969.
At least they didn't make us dig too deep for the false premise.
Gee, what a shame. I don’t watch this trash, but the accounts I have read indicate that what this tramp did was not family-appropriate entertainment.
Best news I’ve heard all day. And maybe next year they’ll get somebody who can sing the National Anthem in under a half an hour.
I’m hearing a lot of buzz that Tebow may be playing in Canada next year, it would be interesting to see how he would do in the CFL.
Dudes y dudettes, I for one am old enough to remember the famed Ice Bowl, where my (at the time) beloved Dallas Cowboys got a taste of Lambeau Field in December.
The cheese-heads still remember.
Most folks who go to the SB are high rollers. For better or worse they want to go to places like NYC. They don’t want to go to KC. They graciously “allowed” us to have one in Indianapolis last year only because the taxpayers coughed up an outrageous sum (700mil +) for a new NFL palace AND give all the revenue from non NFL events to the NFL team also.
That could have been a factor, that the front office staff for the NFL may have gotten a lot of angry phone calls and e-mails from people offended by the trashy performance of Beyonce.
“Beyonce wowed millions around the world....”
I thought it was disgusting - she’s got a great voice but the morals of a honey badger. I lasted about 10 seconds - then switched channels until the game restarted.
25 years ago that was considered “soft porn” - now it’s on network television on Sunday evening. Sad.
Good, I hate half time shows. Never seen one I liked.
When I saw how little she had in clothing, I switched back to the “Puppy Bowl”.
I won’t miss it
Cleaver way for the league to do away with the smut. The half-time shows are mindless garbage, anyway.
I think the first SB half time show was Al Hirt playing a trumpet in a goat cart with a few cheerleaders.
She also disgusted millions around the globe.
During the half-time they had the Sandy Hook Children Choir with Jennifer Hudson how come there was no Hurricane Sandy Choir?
“Why are they even having the Superbowl in New Jersey?”
They were promised one in 2001 after the World Trade Center attacks. New Orleans was the host that year, and the NFL delayed their season one week after the attacks. Therefore, the whole season was delayed. The NFL needed New Orleans to reschedule. At first, New Orleans already had another event that weekend, I forget what, it may have been an RV show or something. So the NFL said, well we will have another site have it, and offered it to NYC, New Orleans came around and rescheduled the conflicting event. The NFL promised NY/NJ they will host a Super Bowl in the “near future”.
Amen! At least it is not male queerleaders for Frisco, yet scantily clad women in public are also part of the degradation of America (even if they testify to Intelligent Design).
I also resented the renditions of God Bless America and the Anthem by the "stars." Why can't they just sing the darn songs the way they were written?
Was he describing Moochelle’s butt?
More likely before the SB.
You may have a hugh group the best of high school/college marching bands from NY/NJ instead marching on the football field, since the marching bands will by marching on the ice cold field stay warm by the marching around.
Since the children from Sandy Hook School did very well singing “America The Beautiful” at this year’s SB, they could very well get the honor to sing in next year’s half time show. Something maybe more family-oriented for a change.
I went to the Super Bowl and I’m not a high roller.
Drove 1100 miles each way and stayed in a holiday inn.
My seats were so far up, I could hardly see the horrible halftime show.
But....it was really great to get out of the cold for a few days, it was fun to walk around the city and talk to fans of both teams. Everyone I spoke with agreed that a cold weather SB is a bad idea.
Well, I hope you are right. But it seems that every year they push the envelope, and people put up with it.
Performances over the past several years have been inappropriate. I don’t really watch any more, but I do remember watching one year and being really annoyed that they had a foreigner who does not even like America, Paul McCartney.
Last year was, I think, Madonna. Again, I did not watch it, but I am pretty sure I read accounts that talked of how inappropriate it was.
One year, it was Timberlake and the Jackson woman with the “wardrobe malfunction”. Everyone one FOX News was chatting about the flashing that went on, but I do not recall any of them commenting on the disgusting nature of the song’s lyrics and inappropriate choreography. The title of the song was “Rock Your Body” and the line in which he exposed her was “Better have you naked by the end of this song. (I had to look that us because it just sounds so outrageous that I was afraid I was remembering some parody.) I am not familiar with the song, but that line is probably just one of many disgusting ones. I distinctly remember seeing in the news clips that the choreography had him handling her very roughly, but I don’t remember any gasps about that part of the routine.
Anyway — long post, sorry — I guess my point is that people just have not been raising cain about how these shows push the envelope in terms of costumes and choreography. I have not heard of sponsor boycott threats or email/phone call campaigns. So I hope you are right and that people are finally complaining.
What I meant to say is that, it could be that this talk about “cold weather” in the NY/NJ area next year could really be a “front” to mean that Beyonce’s performance could have been the straw that broke the cammel’s back, that is all.
“Most folks who go to the SB are high rollers. For better or worse they want to go to places like NYC. They dont want to go to KC”
True...but they are holding the 2015 Superbowl in Arizona...and I recall it was in Detroit a few years ago.
I think the NFL was just butt-hurt that the renovation didn’t put a roof on the stadium.....and they can get away with backing out at KC...but not the NY area.
There will be a halftime show, and it will be in the same vein as the last several, because they're trying to hook a non-football audience into watching the game (it's all about the ad $$$).
If they decide the weather conditions will prevent it from being on the field, it will be staged in a nearby facility (there's a basketball/hockey arena in the same complex, right?) and displayed on the "Jumbotron" screens at the stadium.
If they go with what you have said, becuause if my memory serves me correct, there is an arena near by which is part of the Meadowlands, they could have something there. But the article just does not mentioned that.
If that happens, they will more likely invite either Billy Joel or the Boss again, because they are native NY/NJ guys.
But I can't see the NFL and the broadcast partner (Fox, next year, I believe) giving up their halftime show extravaganza -- it's too much a part of the marketing of the Super Bowl experience (which has as little to do with actual football as it can manage). They'll find a way to make it work, and it's be easy to hold the show nearby and live simulcast it.
Maybe it is the NFL’s way of saying, please get the arena available for the halftime show nearby.
