Somebody telling it like it is, at least in Tampa.

Also, shame about how many fewer people turned out to vote in 2012 vs 2008.

The low information voter is determining the future of the country. No wonder the country is turning to crap.

The problem isn't educating low information voters. The problem is that they refuse to be educated or informed. As Wilson points out, information is easily available at the click of a mouse.

The problem is getting fewer of these idiots to vote. The 2012 results were marginally better than 2008 because marginally fewer of these idiots actually bothered to vote. The 2010 results were significantly better than 2008 because significantly fewer of them bothered to vote.

school teachers start at $41k and average $55k... of course he skipped over the average salary of those in the top 25%... $75k

then there is the comparison to the average salary in the district. avg salary in pinellas county is $23k... and that’s for 12 months... not 9

on top of all that... there is the pension programs... programs that are crushing the country as they are unfunded by about $1 trillion nationwide

in the private sector... do you get a pension program that will yield $50k++ per year? not hardly.

very high salaries, compared to their district
high stability
9 months of work
lifetime pension that averages more then the avg district salary

how about this... teachers should should be paid monthly for every full month they put in... and their salary should not exceed the average monthly salary of the district they teach in (note I didn’t say median, thereby giving the teachers a bump if there are more rich, and dragging them down if there are too many poor). this will motivate them to educate the kids so the kids can make more. if they want a pension plan, they can take money from their own checks and put it towards their own pension... no state contributions... just like the rest of us.

how is that not fair?

low info voters barely knew there was an election going on in 2010.

Personally i’d move the presidential election to a year all on its own and have the senate and congress on their own away from low info voters who only turn out for popularity contests. Have the presidency say in 2012, have the senate and congress all up for election in 2014 all on 4 year terms, might stem the crap off low info’s showing up in the POTUS idol contest.

How hard would it be to advertise? Would conservatives be willing to pay to advertise conservatism?

The low information voter is determining the future of the country. No wonder the country is turning to crap.

The low information voter is low information by choice. All they care about is that they get theirs and we continue to let them have it. We are as much to blame as them as we cater to the PC BS and refuse to let them know how low on the scale they have gone. We allow the PC-Elite to silence our statements so the low-info folks have no sense of shame. Even the Apostles knew and we have to assume that Jesus agreed with the philosophy that if a man will not work he should not eat. Later on in the passage we are told: If anyone does not obey our instruction in this letter, take special note of him. Do not associate with him, in order that he may feel ashamed. 15Yet do not regard him as an enemy, but warn him as a brother.

Biblically, it is our duty to show a man the shame of being a leech - PCism has destroyed that.

Good ideas there. Reward or pay teachers based on performance.

But, the performance pay should be based on the performance of the students.

So, high school teachers should get paid based on the number of students who actually graduate, and the grades that they attain before receiving the diploma.

The same kind of “incentives” should be available throughout the k-12 school systems. Grades and achievements should be the gauge by which teachers are judged and paid.

In the private sector where businesses reward people with good pay and promotions, they’re not going to be rewarded for poor performances. Yet, teachers are rewarded with good pay and great benefits, and performance doesn’t matter. With the public education system, it’s more about being a union member and never having to worry about performance. But, that should be changed. The future of the students is at stake.
