IIRC, Hubert Humphrey also was a staunch 2A defender with some good quotes that ought to go back in their face.
It’s unfortunate to have to note that the usually-conservative Ronald Reagan was an instigator of how CA got to where their firearms laws stand today, totally in reaction to student and Black Panther violence in the 60s while Reagan was governor.
The sad thing is Kennedy would alienate most of the government officials today, and would be branded a right wing nut by the MSM, and be crucified by the progressive democrats today.
Democrat primary? Heck, he’d probably have trouble in a republican primary for being too conservative!
