"In my own native state of Massachusetts, the battle for American freedom was begun by the thousands of farmers and tradesmen who made up the Minute Men -- citizens who were ready to defend their liberty at a moment's notice. Today we need a nation of minute men; citizens who are not only prepared to take up arms, but citizens who regard the preservation of freedom as a basic purpose of their daily life and who are willing to consciously work and sacrifice for that freedom. The cause of liberty, the cause of American, cannot succeed with any lesser effort." (Emphases added)

Nice rifle, Mr. President. I'd like to have one 50+ years later, thanks.

The NRA and conservatives should use this quote boldly and often, throwing the words of the Democrats royal family back at them.

From a policy standpoint (personal pecadillos aside), JFK — with his support of lower taxes and strong military — would qualify as a far-right wingnut in the perverted minds of today’s loony left.

JFK could never win a Democrat primary today.

“Picture got munched. “

Yeah, the image gremlin sometimes goes, “Nice image you got there OM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM!”
At least it wasn’t the letter theif.
Sneaks into your post the split second after you preview and hit post to steal letters and then thumb his nose at you.

Yada, yada, yada. He was still a POS. (There’s lots of betrayed and dead Cubans who would agree.)

Yes, and where do you think the loony left would put "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country!" If they really thought their president believed that, they'd run screaming for the hills!

GMTA on all of your #4 - add in the point made further down the thread on regular use of these JFK quotes back to the D-libs that seek to take away freedom today = so what’s the problem and who changed to where we are today? IIRC, Hubert Humphrey also was a staunch 2A defender with some good quotes that ought to go back in their face.

It’s unfortunate to have to note that the usually-conservative Ronald Reagan was an instigator of how CA got to where their firearms laws stand today, totally in reaction to student and Black Panther violence in the 60s while Reagan was governor.

The sad thing is Kennedy would alienate most of the government officials today, and would be branded a right wing nut by the MSM, and be crucified by the progressive democrats today.

Democrat primary? Heck, he’d probably have trouble in a republican primary for being too conservative!
