Schumer on TV announcing "bipartisan immigration reform" a done deal in Senate
Fox News Live (no link) | 1/28/13

In summary, it's the plan Dems have insisted upon for ten years. Schumer insisting that the time is now and that 65% of the public is behind him. Will provide path to citizenship for 12-20 million pre-Democrat voters. Will require all illegals to learn English, stand in line for a chance for citizenship. Will "toughen visa rules." Will ensure closing the border to illegals. Now turning it over to the wonderful John McCain.

McCain: Thanks Schumer for his leadership, as well as Dick Durbin for fighting for "the dreamers." Rubio and Menendez also played important roles. This is first step in what is achievable. Will secure the border, streamline immigration, and help grant citizenship (to the 20 million illegals.) Sealing the border has already been a big success in the past five years. We need more hi-tech surveillance. It can be completed within the next few years. Employers have to be fined if they hire illegals; need employment verification system. have to shut-off the magnet [sic] that attracts illegals. Congress must pass legal channels for immigrants who want to work here. Expedited path to citizenship for "dreamers." Supply enough farm workers to country.

Eleven (20 really) million illegals have been given a raw deal in denying them the benefits of being in the country (I am not making this up). Have to let them become legal productive workers. The House also has to be involved in this legislation. 2013 offers the best chance to get all this done. Reid's abandoning of the nuclear option on the filibuster shows their willingness to work with us.

Durbin's on now...

I hope people are swamping the phone lines and email inboxes of their senators and congresscritters, saying “NO AMNESTY!” I’ve been rasing cain with mine over this issue the past few weeks.
But I don’t see the fighting spirit online this time around that I saw last time they tried to pass amnesty.

20 million new Democrat voters for 2016.
Not good, especially considering recent news stories that the democrat nomination is Hillary's for the taking.

If Schumer is promoting something, IT’S NOT GOOD. This is about the Dems growing their base for 2016 election.. Adds millions to the 0bamacare rolls. What an F’ing joke. Meanwhile, OUR Constitutional rights are being threatened.

Fairly obvious now if we continue to allow the Oligarchy to control this nation, the nation will be completely and utterly destroyed. California right now is being torn down for scrape and taken to Mexico. You can actually just about watch it happening in real time.

I saw this coming ten years ago under Bush’s administration. Does anyone recall the interview with GW when the interviewer told GW that 85% of Americans were against illegal immigration. His reponse was, “well I think they’re wrong”. That is why I turned to the Constitution Party. No need for voter fraud now. I feel sorry for the future of my children.

Anyone heard what Sarah Palin has said about this immigration ‘compromise”?

We've got, at the very least, 4 more years of this crap.

RE :”Anyone heard what Sarah Palin has said about this immigration ‘compromise”?”

Who??? LOL, makes me wonder who the next set of ‘make believe R candidates’ we will endlessly hear about the next few years who never run, because some are born to be suckers.

Over at the Dem channel they are celebrating big time the GOP’s 180 degree reversal on immigration. They kept on playing those recent clips of Mccain.

McCain and Rubio are saying the GOP has to do this because Hispanics voted for Obama. So we have to create more Hispanic voters because Hispanics voted for Obama??

On FNC Cavuto they were not buying this. Monica Crowley told Ed Bolling that 1980s amnesty led to LESS % Hispanics voting for Rs not more.
No one asks McCain, Rub+CO what makes them think that Obama signing an amnesty bill (He demanded and ran on yet) that gives illegals the vote will get Hispanics to vote R. It makes NO sense.

And, the rest of the GOP Senators, at least those with balls left, have a say also. Chambliss here in GA is a lost cause Country Club Rino now that he’s not running again, but Isakson can still be bullied by massive bad emails, calls, letters...it worked before with both of them.

They passed the same bill twice before in my lifetime. Each time they promise “it’s the last one”, and that they will ‘secure the border to prevent the issue in the future”. Each time, the border never gets secured, and more illegals are encouraged to cross over. The next one will be for 30-50 million “undocumented” folk. The GOP will never change. They must be abandoned.
