In his investigation into Bikram, the most fashionable and extreme form of yoga, that is conducted in rooms of scorching heat, writer Benjamin Lorr warns that potential followers must go into it with eyes open: this is a fitness regime that should come with a health warning.

I love it. It is very intense but you must be prepared

You have to drink lots of water all day, and the day before going. You need to be in good shape already. And you can’t push yourself too hard.

I have done it many times. Feels great when you are finished, but time consuming.

It is incredibly time consuming. By the end it does feel great but I am completely worn out
