I was going to watch it on TV, but my wife has some paint she wants me to watch dry.

When Michelle sent me the invitation to the inauguration I regretfully had to turn it down. I was planning on spending the day at the Martin Luther King museum in New York. Now I come to find it is closed for MLK day! ;)

“President and Mrs. Bush wish President Obama and his family all the best for a wonderful inaugural weekend,” said a spokesman from the younger President Bush’s office Friday.

Then muttered an additional "bless his heart."

Can't blame anyone for skipping. This inaugural will just bring back too many bad memories.
