What Te'o, Armstrong, and Steubenville Say About the Media Coverage of Paterno/Penn State
The Framing of Joe Paterno ^ | 1-17-13 | John Ziegler

Posted on 01/17/2013 1:52:06 PM PST by FlJoePa

I do know however that I am even more sure than ever that the media, as proven by Te’o, Armstrong, and Steubenville, is simply not to be trusted on any story where they become enamored with the narrative and is particularly vulnerable to being completely fooled on a "perfect storm" story like the Sandusky scandal.

In other words, I was always confident that we were correct, but the events of the past couple of weeks have made me morally certain of it. Unlike with Sally Jenkins and Buzz Bissinger, that doesn’t happen unless I am right.

I’m sorry? Te’o is a scumbag, Armstrong is a scumbag and Steubenville - who dat? - and this somehow exonerates Paterono? The logic seems reversed somehow.

Let me just add, Paterno is a scumbag, Sandusky is a scumbag, Spanier is a scumbag, and those other administrators facing charges for the cover up - they are scumbags.

Pedo State should be bulldozed to the ground and then nuked from orbit just to be sure. Paterno’s statue should be sent to the Ft. Sill artillery range to be used as target practice.

What crime was Joe Paterno accused of? The AG praised his cooperation, and he was a witness for the prosecution. Not sure why that makes him a “scumbag”.

No need for due process here, huh? You don’t want to hear what Tim Curley has to say in a court of law? You’d rather get your information from rick reilly and mike golic, I guess?

Freeh is going to be up to his elbows in lawsuits soon (like emmert is now). But you keep on believing the false narrative. It’s gotten you this far.

I tend to agree with you. I don’t trust the findings of Louis Freeh.

Apart from that fact that anything Joepa might have testified to would be classed as hearnosay, wouldn't that fact that he was dead prevent him giving evidence?

Joe testified before the Grand Jury in 2011. Maybe “witness for the prosecution” was a misplaced term. “Witness for the State” at that point?

He gave it unless you are insinuating that there was more to his testimony than he gave...........

Paterno did what he was supposed to do, report to his superiors....Unless you've never been in the military, it's called "Chain of Command".....

Joe Paterno (and the others) KNEW FOR YEARS that Sundusky was a pedophile. And they covered it up, let it continue, so as not to create bad press for PSU. I am not alone in thinking this.

"Joe Paterno (and the others) KNEW FOR YEARS that Sundusky was a pedophile."

This is nothing more than your opinion - yet you speak it as if it is etched in stone somewhere. There are zero (0) facts to back this opinion up, but you're free to have it I guess.

Incredible that you remain delusional. It's sad. Really.

Can anyone really agree with you: Joe Paterno knew NOTHING that went on in Happy Valley OR with the Penn State football team, its coaches, their charities, etc. Yep, that's the ticket...he knew NOTHING!

Do you have ANY idea how you are embarrassing yourself? He was a COACH who enabled YEARS AND YEARS of CHILD RAPE...WTH do you not get here?

Go away.

You have taken the fall of your false idol hard. It’s very serious what permitted to happen at Penn State.

It’s clear to me that most people have never read the Freeh Report, or looked into the facts of this case, or even realize that Sandusky was acquitted of any wrongdoing by the jury of that McQueary shower incident — the incident at the heart of all these accusations.

The folks that immediately comment negatively on threads like this (and send me hate freepmail) not only haven’t read the freeh report, they don’t even read the article linked.

I don’t understand the rush to judge a man like Joe when there are pending court cases that will hopefully tell us the truth. I know we didn’t get the truth from louis freeh.

The reason this story won’t “go away” as people wish it to, is because about 1/4 of it has been told. The b.o.t. meeting today was another bizarre chapter in this unending mess.

Anthony Lubrano read (word for word) Joe's address to the board of trustees in 1983.

peetz (new pres at bnymellon) is stepping down as chair. surma (pres at us steel didn't even show up). masser voted in as new chair. The vice-chair they voted in is about to get voted out of the b.o.t altogether in another 3 months by PS4RS.

PS4RS took over the meeting with 7 straight scathing rebukes of the board's leadership in the "visiting speaker" portion. No response at all from peetz or any of the grifters on that board.

Here is a link to the transcript of the visiting speakers (all PS4RS ladies)

I think she was just sworn in the other day. She says it is #1 on her list. Her office (with her agreement) was relinquished any responsibilities w/ Corbett’s suit w/ the ncaa. She needs to go after the second mile and follow the money. Why that wasn’t the focus from day 1 baffles me. She’s going to have to play politics w/ Corbett at some point though, because his fingerprints are all over this.

I don’t even think prelims have been scheduled for GS, GS, and TC yet. Cynthia Baldwin (counsel, not counsel, etc.) messed it up to the point where they’re thinking prelims in late March.

You bet.

Why that wasn’t the focus from day 1 baffles me.

It baffles a lot of people especially since the good doc there was notified of the 2001 incident and by law it was his duty to notify the state and he had contacts there. And how and why they were allowed to dissolve in the midst of the Sandusky investigation and ship all records out of state or wherever smacks of coverup of major proportions.

BTW, Ziegler has zero ties to Penn State. Just like w/ Sarah, he's watched the same media malpractice take place again - right in front of his eyes, and it scares him. It should scare you too.

If you or anyone is interested in actually learning some of the facts in this case, you can watch JZ's extended trailer of his soon to be documentary here: Ziegler - Framing Mini Movie
