Did MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough Murder A Young Intern He Was Having An Extramarital Affair With?

Excerpted from LegalSchnauzer: Many Americans probably have forgotten, or never knew, that a 28-year-old female staff member was found dead in the summer of 2001 in the office of U.S. Rep. Joe Scarborough (R-FL). Officials in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, determined that Lori Klausutis died from an accident. The mainstream press largely ignored the case, but our review of several investigative reports indicates the official finding is highly questionable.

Does that mean Joe Scarborough is a murderer? No. But we suspect someone who had access to Scarborough’s office in 2001 is a murderer. We find it unlikely that the head trauma that killed Lori Klausutis was the result of an accident.

We hardly are the first to raise the “murder” issue that surrounds Scarborough. Two liberal icons, filmmaker Michael Moore and Daily Kos founder Markos Moulitsas, made references to it and wound up in public spats with Scarborough.

And need I point out thatMoulitsas thinks Sarah palin had something to do with Gabby Gifford's headwound?

Hmmm, if you recall, there were some among the insane who blamed me for Nick Berg.

Michael Berg, the father, was on the public list, which I posted on FR. So the leftist whackjobs blamed me for Nick’s death.

He was not a bad congressman but I have noticed he has gotten a lot more liberal after leaving.

I have noticed that 'rotting effect' exhibited by quite a few retired supposed Conservatives.

Colin Powell to name one recent 'convert'.

How does one mature into leftism? I do not think it possible and suspect that these neoconverts to leftism were always leftist in varying degrees. Arrogant, self-serving, narcisstic, and unprincipled wolves in sheeps clothing.

One does not have a come to Jesus moment in support of leftism -it is always the opposite.

I was googling old stories. The medical examiner had been fired for faking autopsies. More recently they found out he was storing body parts in a rented storage locker.

Just one of a number of strange details surrounding this story.

“How does one mature into leftism?”

Money, power, fame, and sometimes extortion.

I realized that the story may have been sarcastic. But I was just clarifying the fact that there was no statute of limitations on murder.

In that case I also struck out because I didn't realize that someone else had also made that point previously.

What evidence can anyone put forth that Colin Powell was ever a conservative? I always thought he was a Bush AA appointee.

Supposed indeed.    How're ol' Dick Cheney and the other Railroad Queens doing these days?

I was just going to say to the previous poster that I liked Jimi’s version of it the most and there you are posting the song, awesome. I saw Jimi in an outdoor concert once, in Seattle and it was raining.

I never did like the term "Compassionate Conservative" as it implies Conservatism is somehow lacking of something which it is not.

He was a good buddy of Gary Condit, and tom-catting around together, IIRC. Even though it came out years later that Chandra was murdered by an illegal alien, I can imagine how Condit’s ordeal put the fear of God into his running buddies. (How many other chicks in this circle are now taking dirt naps?)

A good buddy of Gary Condit? Was he near Fort Marcy Park when Chandra Levy was murdered?

"IIRC"? If you have any source for that please produce it, otherwise don't spread baseless rumors.

If you've heard the two names together it's probably because of the deaths of the two young women, not because the two guys went "tom-catting" together.

Democrats were complaining that Scarborough didn't get into the kind of trouble Condit did, but this is the first I've heard that the two Congressmen were supposed to be buddies.

“If you’ve heard the two names together it’s probably because of the deaths of the two young women,”

Definitely not that; today is the first time I’ve heard about the Scarborough lady.

My only “source” is my memory of discussions back in ‘01. However, I did find this link which mentions it. I expect there are more.

I don’t “make up stuff”. Why would I? I do recall hearing or reading about it.

I'm not saying that you're a liar, and I wasn't suggesting that you made things up, but that maybe somebody you read on the Internet associated the two Congressmen because of the two murders and assumed they were friends.

So far as I can tell, the woman who wrote that post in 2002 made that assumption for the same reason. But I don't see any real evidence there that they two men were close, just an assertion that they were friends. You read what you found on the Internet and took it from there in good faith.

Maybe they were pals, but I suspect, for what little that's worth, that this is one of those rumors and not something proven or even true. You don't have to believe me, but it's just a little too tidy to be true in my book. If I'm wrong, though, then I'm wrong.
