WHY did Pete Carroll ask for a timeout when the kicker had already done his thing?
I'm no head coach in the NFL, but you NEVER give a kicker a second chance.
Stupid, and dangerous. Kickers "adjust" after an icing. And the Seahawks paid dearly.
I've seen it done to Bryant at least four times. And every time he is "iced", he goes through with his practice kick....even if the opposing team calls it much earlier than Seattle did today.
Really irks the other team when he does it....but so does being "iced".
When will they quit doing that?
It never seems to work and left Seattle with no time outs to get within field goal range. (But then again...Mike Smith should have waited until the clock ran to 3 seconds before calling HIS time out)
He called it before the kick. It is a chicken $hit tactic that nearly ever team uses. I'm glad if finally bit someone in the ass.
