What kind of ‘’corruption’’? Political, societal, economic? It does exist certainly. But if it were on the scale Mr. Chan alleges this nation would be done and over with in a year.

We are talking about corruption so from your post I gather that Americans are also not ethical?

Forget Jackie Chan, I reject his comments. However yes America is loaded with corruption, moral, cultural, and actual law breaking. It’s become a huge problem and totally unreported. Don’t be naive.

I’m not naive. If America were China, Mexico or Russia we’d be finished. For all this ‘’corruption’’ we still are a nation that functions by the rule of law and are a far more law abiding society than the others I’ve named. Don’t be so negative.

It’s all about the gay mafia. They control the entire entertainment industry, and if you want to get along, you go along.

No....we're talking specifically about a comment from a pro-Chicom stating America is the most corrupt nation in the world.

If there is a perfect nation among the 190+ around the world, I've yet to see it. However, an honest study of the subject would not even put us in the top 50th percentile.

I'm especially not going to listen to criticism from an individual who made a very good living in the American market and supports a nation where you cannot even do a Google search on any subject.

On the question is the US the most corrupt, the answer is no. But it is well above the top 50th percentile ranking you give it.

The US is very corrupt

Name one way America is corrupt that China is not.

I did not say America was corrupt and that China was not. China is most certainly corrupt and at a day to day street level-as I said in earlier post.

But the U.S. is also very corrupt and at every level of government. The problem in the U.S. is that it is institutionalized, and there are no has been no harsh penalty when someone is caught crossing the legal line.

Ask your local district Atty why he does not prosecute local corruption. The point I made about China is they have severe penalties and going back to Jung Ze Min they have been going after corrupt party officials.

What exactly do you find disagreeable in the facts I have stated? What have I said that is not true?

A well thought-out answer and probably the most correct one.

I saw this quote from Jackie the other day and thought, “Yep. It sure is.” The thing about American corruption, though, can be best summarized in the words of Jake MacIllaney, “Never steal anything small.”
