What's classier than a Marine in dress blues?
A Marine in dress blues escorting a special needs child to the Cinderella Ball. Semper Fi!
[A Cinderella Ball is] a unique and unduplicated opportunity for hundreds of Washington, D.C.-area youth with disabilities or life-threatening illnesses to dress up, pass underneath a ceremonial sword arch (courtesy of 40 Marines from Quantico) upon a real red carpet and through the entrance of The Willard InterContinental Hotel on Pennsylvania Avenue, one block from the White House. And its all free-of-charge for the students and their families.
There Cinderella greets attendees and their family members, and everyone enjoys a private dinner, concert and dance.
My family and I regularly support the Cinderella Ball. Thank you U.S. Marines.
Nothing beats a Marine.
On the other hand, nothing is more slimy than the Obamadork all dressed up at a function where even the wait staff has far higher IQs.
Really, really fine!
Heartwarming. But I prefer OD green. Of course I’ve never been accused of being a fashion maven and it says something about how damn old I am.
Ping to a lady who loves a special Marine.
What a wonderful thing to do.
Dad was a US Marine and he’d be proud.
That photo brought tears to my eyes.
God bless these little ones and our Marine heroes.

The picture brought tears to my eyes. Oh, how this grandmom misses her Marine!!! He is in Afganistan now, we haven’t seen him in a year.
Semper Fi - To All Marines.
‘The picture brought tears to my eyes..... Oh, how this grandmom misses her Marine!!! .....He is in Afganistan now, we havent seen him in a year....”
God Bless and protect your marine....
I believe the nobamas and their minions in prison orange jumpsuits for the rest of their pathetic lives would be classy.
Thank you very much.
This is a delightful picture.
Oh Man....even this “Devil Doc” old Corpsman has to admit this is an awesome pic! “Semper Fi” and “Well Done”!
Thanks for posting! My sister is special needs and my nephew is a just-commissioned Marine Officer stationed at Quantico. I just sent this to my other sister who lives near Wash DC.
Especially a marine with a twinkle in his eye. ;-)
My son officially retired on the 31st after 13 years of service. I loved to see him in his dress blues! Nothing better! but I also just love seeing him in his khakis or shorts or anything. He is MY son and I love him to the end of time and am oh so proud of him!
Gunny Santa is pretty classy. < |:)~
Whatever you do for the least of these, you do it for me.
I have no idea about now, but in the mid-sixties when I was “in”, with very few exceptions you had to purchase (and they weren’t cheap) Blues if you wanted ‘em for any reason.
Marine Dress Blues are worn for special occasions or various ceremonies or as this Marine is doing here. My brother got married wearing his.
