Obama's upcoming dishonor of General Norman Schwarzkopf (vanity)

Yesterday we lost a true American giant, Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf. Today, I'm starting a betting pool on how many times obama uses the words "I" "me" or "my" in his eulogy to the General. As was noted in the Weekly Standard, Zero used "I","me" or "my" a total of 63 times in a 1,600-word eulogy to the late Medal of Honor recipient and Senator, Daniel Inouye, to whom he referred as "Danny" in the speech. I will donate $50 to FR in the name of the freeper who posts the closest numeric guess, prior to publication of Dear Reader's failure to properly honor a true American. Bonus: if Il Douche calls the General "Norm", I'll donate $50 to the NRA also. I won't have the stomach to read Obi won Nairobi's telepromptered spew, so any respected news site or blog's word count afterwards will suffice.

"Normie axed me one time, or many times actually, what I thought of his military career. I have been axed questions along those lines by many people from all walks of life who axe me my opinion on a wide variety of subjects. You'd be surprised by how many people want to know my opinion on so many things. The Normster was one of those people who sought my advice as many people do. He will be missed."

(wipes invisible tear from outside of eye with middle finger, the press collectively swoons and writes a fawning article about Obama's speech rather than the General.)

I was there in “the vault” from the very beginning of the war and it was not “propaganda”.

At least one thing that was accomplished was we worked with a great number of nations as allies and showed that the US would stand with them, our word could be trusted, and that borders and political claims in this modern world would not be changed or resolved by rogues such as Saddam Hussein’s military invasion.

I still remember being so damn proud when Bush41 launched those first missile on his stated deadline. I remember being in the watch when those missiles were launched watching the evening news from Baghdad and waiting for the sky to light up behind CNN.

All that good will has been subsequently squandered by the corrupt morally bankrupt Clinton and now, obama

The great disappointment of DESERT STORM was its sudden end, with Colin Powell prevailing and decidng to stop the slaughter of the fleeing Iraqi army. In retrospect, annihilation as cruel as it might have been, would have saved US, our allies (and the Iraqi people) a lot of lives and trouble. Hindsight is always 20-20

No, in the world of 1990 would not have been a “good thing” for a madman like Saddam Hussein to turn his next territorial claim and his million man army to the Saudi oilfields. Our relations with the Saudi regime were and are twisted and complex but al least then, we had common strategic interests and we the US showed our will and capability to defend them. This is understood, not hated, even by our enemies
Not even food for thought.

"Why would Obama even be included in the service?"

I'm hoping that the family will keep it simple. No media, and no politicians. I'm sure that's the way the General would have wanted it.

Reminds me of some of the coverage of the Newtown shootings. It seemed to be all amount 0bama was grieving about it, leading our nation in grieving.

Well here is the White House statement on the General:

For Immediate Release December 27, 2012
Statement from the President on the Passing of General Norman Schwarzkopf

“With the passing of General Norman Schwarzkopf, we’ve lost an American original. From his decorated service in Vietnam to the historic liberation of Kuwait and his leadership of United States Central Command, General Schwarzkopf stood tall for the country and Army he loved. Our prayers are with the Schwarzkopf family, who tonight can know that his legacy will endure in a nation that is more secure because of his patriotic service.”

My guess this all you will hear and Obama will not be attending or speaking at the funeral. Of course he could send that idiot Biden which is just as bad.

Mykroar,

You are the winner of the I-me-mine eulogy word count: zero! Looks like TOTUS reigned in the narcissist this time. I've donated the promised $50 to FR in your name. Will donate to the NRA also, just because...
