No let up in senseless attacks of Tim Tebow

After years of swirling around Tim Tebow, the vultures now have something else to pick on.

It's barely a scrap, if that, for holier-than-Tebow critics who have been foaming at the mouth to dig up a granule of dirt on the man ever since he announced he was still a virgin.

Hoge had a few concussions in his career so that might explain things. I don’t think Tebow is a very good quarterback but some of the vitriol thrown at him is way over the line.

Mike Francesa on the FAN radio broadcast has this situation all wrapped up. Ryan and the GM have made all the trades over the last two years, they got rid good players and drafted so so players. Woody the owner spent the money to make money on Tebow, publicity nut. Ryan has been a blowhard all his life just like his dad, he’s no head coach and never will be....(plus he’s a toe sucker) It will be interesting to see where he winds up, after the press gets done ripping Tebow and the Jets are losers again next year. They were practically giving away tickets the last few weeks

Tebow’s heart is strong and he will rise to stardom on his own somewhere down the road.

When and how they get the answer will be painfully obvious.

... and obviously painful.

They don't hate him SO much for his Christianity. What they can't tolerate is that he is a pro-life icon. We can't have women reconsidering “choice”, dont’cha know. See the way they treated Aiken and that guy in Indiana's statements. Think about it.

In the dark still of the night, they are afraid God is real.

I think you nailed it. I for one believe God is real and I have never seen such an attack on Christianity as what has developed in the last few years from the Godless liberal left and the corrupt media. I think to ease their consciences of their rejection of God that they have to attack those who do believe. I think the reason they embrace Islam is for the same reason. They know Islam is a sham false religion and they had rather have that than face up to their true rejection of God. Thus they will do and say anything to to demean Christians and Christianity simply to make themselves feel better. This is not a surprise. The Bible describes this fully.

I'd like to see Tim Tebow join the Jaguars and lead them to a Super Bowl. He'd certainly be big hit with the fans there since Jacksonville is his hometown (although born in the Philippines where his parents were Southern Baptist missionaries).

The downside is that the Jaguars are owned by Shahid Khan, a Muslim from Pakistan. On the other hand, knowing Tim Tebow's Christian witnessing, he might be able to convert Khan from that evil death cult.

He is white, Christian and a dual threat QB (a position reserved for blacks only)........what’s not to hate about him?

Tebow is a white man and he’s an out of the closet Christian, he’s from the South, plus he’s a good, positive man rather than a black thug. That is why the vultures are setting upon him. It’s the only reason.

Pay attention to who exposes themselves as vultures and make them unpopular on sports websites in comments without mentioning their hatred of Tebow. Ridicule their weaknesses, work and their errors. Dislike them out loud. Christians have the power and numbers to put the vultures out to the badlands where they can eat one another and leave normal people alone.

I usually don’t post on Sports threads, because I don’t know much about sports.

However, even I have seen the vitriol aimed at Tim Tebow and I find it reprehensible.

My heart goes out to this Brother in Christ and I pray that God will shield his heart and mind from these vicious attacks, in Jesus name.

This it why I never watch sports.

If you're willing, make a one-time exception to that rule tonight. Baylor, a private Christian university from the free state of Texas, headed by Ken Starr, is absolutely whipping UCLA in the Holiday Bowl. I enjoy seeing a liberal, government-run indoctrination center from California getting schooled by Texans. It's 35-7 in favor of Baylor just before the half.

Elway loathed Tebow and got him placed with a friend who continued the denigration of a fine young man.

Total BS. Elway liked Tebow as a person but didn't see him as a long term solution for the Broncos. Payton Manning became available and chose the Broncos ... Tebow was gone. The record this season speaks for itself ... even though I like Tebow on a personal level he needs to check out the CFL. He's better suited for their game.

If non believers truely though Christianity was a myth, they wouldnt get their pantys all in a wad when others believed in it.

You don't see them protesting Santa or the Easter bunny. Self proclaimed Athiests are way more intent on imposing their views on me than I am on them.

I was listening to a paster on the radio awhile back when a young man called in proclaiming himself to be an athiest. The paster asked if the young man had ever read the bible to which he replied no. The paster kindly corrected him and stated, well your no athiest then, your just an uninformed idiot.

I always think back to that comment when people say they don't believe. Personally I believe thats their God given choice. Hard to be against something you know nothing about though.

What? As opposed to Colorado where he was treated so grandly?

Forget ‘this is NYawk,’ it’s ‘this is the NFL.’

In 34 career games, Tebow is responsible for approximately 3,500 yards from scrimmage and 29 touchdowns.

In 114 career games, Merrill Hoge was responsible for approximately 5,300 yards from scrimmage and 34 touchdowns.

I think maybe Merrill needs to check his ego, or it could be that those *HUGE* necktie knots are affecting the blood flow to his concussion-addled brain.

And don’t get me started on Rex “Tater Salad” Ryan. Loudmouth pervert.

Tebow completed 67% of his passes in college. But his delivery was too long and loopy for the pro game...he would be getting the ball slapped out of his hands. He has been working on changing his motion, and this has undoubtedly contributed to his accuracy issues (he’s under 50% in the NFL) and it seems like he occasionally doesn’t trust himself to just turn the ball loose.

With enough reps, he’ll get it worked out.
I’m rooting for the kid.
