3 days of Rioting and Looting across Argentina

Looting leaves 2 dead in Argentina-link to article Its not as if some looting surprises anyone in Argentina anymore. Its pretty much a fact of life for Argentines. But it has been three days now of widespread looting across the country, from Buenos Aires and its suburbs, to smaller provinces as far as Bariloche where incidents first started.

As always supermarkets, gas stations and smaller stores are favorite targets by looters and there’s also been reports of assaults and robberies as well. Two people have been killed in Rosario during the lootings and the government is deploying military personal across the country so as to protect supermarkets and avoid the “contagion” effect. This could be described as the perception that the authorities have lost control of the streets and everyone feels it’s a “free for all” time when looting can go unpunished. Unfortunately that observation isn’t far from the truth.

Look what is happening right before your eyes and take heed. There’s a Great Storm coming you can feel it.

Listen to what the bible says: A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it. NIV Proverbs 22:3

One of the things that will hurt is the fact that many will not except that a breakdown is occurring even as they watch it happening before their eyes. Why don’t they realize it?It’s caused by a condition called ‘Normalcy Bias’ a mental state people enter when facing a disaster.

It causes people to underestimate both the possibility of a disaster occurring and its possible effects. This often results in situations where people fail to adequately prepare for a disaster, and on a larger scale, the failure of governments to include the populace in its disaster preparations. The assumption that is made in the case of the normalcy bias is that since a disaster never has occurred then it never will occur. It also results in the inability of people to cope with a disaster once it occurs. People with a normalcy bias have difficulties reacting to something they have not experienced before. People also tend to interpret warnings in the most optimistic way possible, seizing on any ambiguities to infer a less serious situation.

A good article on ‘Normalcy Bias’ is on our own ChocChipCookies Blog The Survival Mom:

http://thesurvivalmom.com/2010/12/29/normalcy-bias/

You either prepare and stand on your own beholden to no one or you become dependent on others to provide your basic needs and become their ‘serf’. Me I don’t want to be beholden to anyone for providing what is needed for me and mine. I certainly don’t want to have to kiss some ‘gubberment’ third class bureaucratic to try and coax some help from them, I don’t want some ‘jack booted’ thug herding me in line and telling me where to stand, sit, eat or sleep. And last but not least I don’t want to be shut up in with a bunch of ‘zombies’ and have to worry about not only trying to get basic necessities but having to fight to keep what I manage to get.

Its your choice you can prep or you can stand around on a bridge waiting for FEMA to bring you a bottle of water, a MRE, a warm blanket and a kiss for your boo-boo and maybe you can even get your picture as you stand there on the national news.

For those who are just starting or are old hands at prepping you may find my Preparedness Manual helpful. You can download it at:

http://tomeaker.com/kart/Preparedness1j.pdf NOTE! THIS IS A FREE DOWNLOAD. I DO NOT MAKE ONE CENT OFF MY PREPAREDNESS MANUAL!

For those of you who haven’t started already it’s time to prepare almost past time maybe. You needed to be stocking up on food guns, ammo, basic household supplies like soap, papergoods, cleaning supplies, good sturdy clothes including extra socks, underwear and extra shoes and boots, a extra couple changes of oil and filters for your car, tools, things you buy everyday start buying two and put one up.

As the LDS say “When the emergency is upon us the time for preparedness has past.”

Again I like to recomend FReeper’s ChocoChipCookie Blog The Survival Mom (Please Blog Police let this one slide!) Where you can get lots of useful information like:

http://thesurvivalmom.com/2011/11/20/8-morale-boosters-for-any-worst-case-scenario/

http://thesurvivalmom.com/2010/02/02/survival-priorities-the-rule-of-three/

And More

“There is no greater disaster than to underestimate danger. Underestimation can be fatal.”

Maybe the sheeple are starting to figure out that this equality/socialism crap really means long-term poverty and they are looting the luxuries they may never see again.

It is this violent culture= violent games/movies + no-fault, anything goes lifestyle being taught as normal by government schools and the Hollywierd/MSM plus the fact that our past couple of generations have been dumbed and numbed down ON PURPOSE.

All of it together = cultural rot and depravity on a scale that hasn’t been seen since Sodom and Gomorrah. Sure, once upon a time perverted Roman rulers or in some times the ELITE lived horribly deplorable lifestyles... today it is almost EVERYONE or at least you would think so from the “pop-culture” and this simply encourages it.

The end of this road is uglier than anything this planet has ever seen. Your true rights can be thrown out the window in exchange for “rights of the moment” that will be thrown out when convenient. The result is not going to be nearly as organized and controlled as Huxley dreamed up. AT least not for a long time as the largest part of the population falls into barbarism that eats itself up.

What we are seeing from these crazies today will become more and more common in the near future, these are the logical products of our sick culture

All we can do is make sure we have our own personal world ready for such so we don’t need the outside world for a decent standard of living for a period of time.

God gave us a brain, we have to use it.

Prepare long term, be able to replensish and/or repair your supplies, and stay out of the cities is the only way to have a shot at survival. JMHO.

When the 60’s riots erupted, most of the rural areas in America did not participate. I am not sure that will hold true this time around.

There won't be riots here while I'm alive. One riot, one Texan, and all of that.... After I'm dead? Color me unconcerned.

I will play hard and fast right up to then, though. They might want to bring a lunch. This could take some time.

***********************************************

Define here. Do you mean your house, your town, or what?

I like your attitude. Reminds me of a certain Sheriff when I was just a kid. We had one bridge coming into our town. One night the Hells Angels decided to come through, and had already made some threats about rioting and what not.

Sheriff Lamb (he was more of a wolf) and his crew blocked off the bridge, and met them with shotguns and police dogs. He was real polite. Just told them that it would be in their best interest to turn around and go somewhere else.

They did. LOL.

can anyone refer me to a good news site for international news?.....unbiased and straight forward?.....we are in such a news block out considering the internet, iphones, ipads, radio , etc.....the news we do hear is often slanted, misleading or nonexistant....they let us hear/read only what they want us too....

I have lived down there. After decades of socialism a majority of the population thinks the solution - is more socialism. They never learn. They continue to believe. More socialism breeds more misery but the culprit is always “greedy capitalism”.

We have crossed that tipping point here and barring a bloody civil war there is no going back.

These grounds, the estate, where I was born. Where I grow stuff I eat. Where I live.

I did call the cops on a guy the other night, and said I 'ran him off'. The cop looked at me when he got here (I'm not a large guy) and asked "How did you run him off?"

I told the cop that I 'splained him. That was enough said.
