Uh, you better check out the anti-gun petitions over at Whitehouse.gov. Might want to get a little busy over there, like right now.
Without any bias, I can tell you (and many will agree) that the current occupants and regime in place at the White House is the least trustworthy group ever to control the country.
For this reason alone, I would avoid the Whitehouse.gov site like it was radioactive.
Nothing good can come of this. The white house usurpers won’t even listen to voters and constituents - Why would they listen to a post on their website ?
I’d much rather use my firearms to defend the Bill or Rights than sign some pothead’s goofy ass “petition”.

So what is it? Petition favoring gun laws or a petition against gun laws? Very confusing header.

Maybe have a national referendum first.
If those who want to secede outnumber those that don't, give those who want to secede a choice to stay and preserve the union, mandating that other state and federal employees and elected officials re-constitute our constitutional Republic or hit the road, Jack, and don'tcha come back no mo'.
Then we start over with a clean slate, eliminating all the non-constitutional laws, treaties, executive orders, etc., and all infringements.
I think that would be fulfilling the requirement of the states who want to petition for new federal and state officials without destroying the infra-structure and insuring continuity of government.
That would leave our constitutional Republic intact without spilling a whole lot of blood.
