It's an unwinnable war on CHRIST.

Everything else; Christmas, Christians, etc. ... is related.

Make no mistake .. it is CHRIST satan hates.

Christmas is the remembrance of Jesus’ birth. NO ONE can change that and it’s written on people’s hearts which they can’t touch! Sorry, heathens - you can’t change what IS! The Great I AM will always be the GREAT I AM! “I AM that I AM”.

About 10 years ago I was in Bering’s in Houston-a wonderful place to shop. They had the most awesome nativity scene I had ever seen but it was $350. Even though I had a perfect place to put it in my entryway, I didn’t buy it but was sorely tempted. Even ten years ago that was a whole lot of money. Went back two more times and it was still there so I figured God wanted me to have it in my home and that’s where it’s been ever since. So glad I did.

I don’t even allow myself to go into Williams Sonoma any more - everything they have, particularly at Christmas, is so beautiful. I just simply cannot afford to yield to temptation. I am such an easy sell on dishes so just bought plain white then I can buy a serving piece of something I see that I think I can’t live without but only use a short time each year. Much easier on the pocketbook.

Now up to 85% yes. Not a whole lot of votes. Given our country’s loss of its moral compass, if everyone were to respond I suspect that there would be a whole lot of people who would vote no.

Double posts have been the entree du jour for a few months here.

I get them frequently when I ping out my homeschool lists.

Seems that the longer the ping list, the longer it takes to post, and it increases the chances of double or even triple posts.

I shop at Bering's Hardware in Houston all the time. It doesn't matter what you need, a light bulb, a/c filters, one small nail, tools or a fabulous set of china, Bering's has it all.

If you haven't been there in a while the store on Westheimer at Potomac has been remodeled and redone and it is fabulous!

I buy a lot of gifts there from practical to fancy. Baby clothes, toys, cards, you name it, Bering's has it!

Thanks for telling me. Next time I’m in the City I’ll stop there. They always seem to have things we used to be able to buy, unlike any of the other stores, as well as the old brands.

There is another Bering's inside loop 610 on Bissonet, I haven't been there in a while. The store on Westheimer (you probably know) is in 2 buildings. The one in the back has furniture, decorative items for your house, baby and childrens clothes and toys and cards.

I go to the one on Bissonet. Have only been to the one on Westheimer once with my friend who bought out most of the store’s Christmas decorations a few years ago-she’s my monied friend! Going to be over there tomorrow afternoon and will take a look. Thanks and Merry Christmas.
