I remember stories posted here on FR saying “possible release (or words to that effect) of the blind sheik” to Egypt.
When exactly were they published?
I seem to remember it being before Benghazi.

I suspect the real reason behind the cover up was that the annex was a CIA “black hole” prison. The attackers were trying to get the prisoners out. Broadwell stated that in her speech in Denver. How did she know? Well that is obvious isn’t it? It would have been Obama’s Abu Graib..enough reason to not cause a potential international incident with a rescue attempt. The CIA sure did get in there and scrub the scene pretty fast didn’t they?
