George W. Bush . No one is more responsible for racking up our debt than Bush. He campaigned in 2000 promising to cut taxes in order to avoid paying down the national debt. And when the recession of 2001 arrived, he said tax cuts would revive the economy. And when the economy didn’t revive, he cut taxes some more. Tax cuts for all occasions. And it was all guilt-free.

Seriously? GW was a disaster in several areas - but the economy improved under Bush... all until the Dems took over CONgress. When did unemployment begin to rise? Yep - after the 2006 election that brought the budgetless Dems to power in the House and Senate...

Roger That. The one thing we know for certain about socialists is they damn sure did little to no work in our early colonies, and; we have folks grabbing 98 weeks or so of $300 a week in UE bennies plus an average of just under $140 a month in food/SNAP. $25 a week of those bennies is credited to Obama by these voters as it was part of the so called stimulus. So, Obama is paying some folks $15,600 a year to sit on ass plus the $137.50 or so a month per person from SNAP on their EBT card, plus whatever other plans from Medicaid to section 8 vouchers they can get. Heck, my wife’s youngest sister has been on Gov programs all her adult life. She quit high school. She has dental care with her TennCare. I asked her brother some years ago what the heck happened to the school system after 1965? He finally made sense. He explained that Blacks did not want to be bussed to white neighborhoods from the inner city, and; whites soon learned about every GOVT handout. How do we get non college grads to work at any entry level job until they lose that $17,250 min subsidy?

I have read a lot of articles like this one. Everyone is playing the blame game.

Most of the garbage being pushed out there is political. People are trying to make their guy look good and their political enemies look really bad. The author of this article is a hack. I hope no one important in this mess is using him as an adviser.

With that said, of all of the blogs, articles and various other commentaries that I have read, I have yet to see anyone mention the attacks on 911. To be honest, I and a lot of other individuals really feared the hit that could occur to our markets and economy from the terrorist attacks.

I wonder why no one ever mentions Pres GW Bush administration’s fairly determined ability to see that it didn’t happen? No one ever mentions that Bush came into office when the USA was starting into a recession.

Unemployment stayed fairly low during most of Bush’s two terms. No one ever talks about that either.

Spending did speed up under the Republicans...no one is arguing that point. But, to put all of the blame on President GW Bush is pretty lame, esp when you consider how he held this country together after those horrific attacks.
