SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Police say a Massachusetts man left his girlfriend's 2-year-old son in a car while he went shopping for Black Friday bargains, then went home with his new 51-inch flat screen television and left the toddler behind.
Police, alerted by store security, found the boy asleep in the vehicle in a Kmart parking lot at about 1:30 a.m. Friday.
They forced their way into the car and took the boy to the hospital as a precaution.
Meanwhile, they tracked the man to his Springfield home.

It says “his girlfriend’s” kid, not “his” kid. So far, we have been lucky that he hasn’t contributed to the gene pool.
What mother leaves her kid with a “boyfriend”?
Not much in Novemember in New England. People used to do this all the time when I was young.
I imagine he figured that with the Kenyan getting “reelected”, this might be his last opportunity to buy a new TV. Wouldn’t want the kid missing Elmo, Big Bird and all of those wacky DemocRAT campaign “ads”.
That makes absolutely no sense. He's got a large tv but left his car and called someone else to take him home? The boy was asleep in the guy's car so he wasn't lost. Ok, so where was the drug deal and how much was in bf's system?

In our day that was called a bastard child.
In our day the tot would have been going to K-Mart with his father who would have got him out of the car and strapped him in a buggy.
In our day the father would have shopped at K-Mart at reasonable but somewhat extended holiday hours. ie NOT 1:30 AM in the morning.
In our day if the father was not able to take his child to the store and mother was too busy then a baby sitter was hired.
Then again that in our day. Back when the pyramids were built at Giza.

Read the paper and/or watch tv. This crap happens all the time, maybe not where you live, but in many less than desirable neighborhoods. Women have babies, then leave them with strange men. The kids are left home alone, or are beaten or shaken to death by the man The guy is called a “fiance” or boyfriend to try to hide the fact that he is some low life the mother found in a bar or drug den. The men should pay for their crime, but the mothers bear some responsibility for having no regard for the safety and well being of their children by leaving them with strangers.

Been posting these or seen them posted for some time.
Here on FR we call them kids who are harmed or killed by “mommy’s new boyfriend” (something like that anyway)
Its always mommy’s boyfriend that hurts the kid because dad is not there to protect them.
I’m betting he was coming out of the store with the TV, saw the cops surrounding his car, knew darn well he’d be arrested, so called a friend to take him home hoping he could come back and get his car when the cops left.
That makes sense. Nothing else does, unless the man is either mentally challenged or was under the influence.
Not that it’s the only place like that - far from it. But from what I have been able to determine about Springfield, Massachusetts is this: it’s a sheethole.
