You respond by attacking me and portending to speak for preppers everywhere. To what end? How have I done anything to you by pointing out what I did? Why respond to my comment if you didn't care about the issue? Why attempt to shut down another voice here?

I thought the Prepper ping list was a group to share information, not a chest-beating bravado session. Maybe I am on the wrong list. Where is the one where we respect others and share useful information?

I simply passed on information that some don't give a rat's pointy little tail about what lists we are on, and don't care to hide like cowards.

You didn't do anything wrong. Everyone has their own take with respect to rule #1...most agree with yours. JRF has a "...still a free country and I'll do as I please" attitude, which I admire and agree with, but living in the Detroit 'burbs, I feel I need to be a tad more cautious. I'm pretty sure JRF is off the path a ways, and that can affect how you view rule #1 a LOT.

Given his views about personal liberty, I doubt if JRF would try to shut down your voice. He may not agree with you, and that's fine. As for "chest beating bravado session", I agree he comes off that way sometimes, but I'd love to have the knowledge he has on so many topics, and he's SHOULD be proud of it. I know I would be. Pretty sure he's ex-military (from his posts), and that makes him one of the good guys in my view. Also, he has provided a lot of helpful information for a great many on these threads, including me.
