Bad things happen when good men do nothing.
OK
In 1962, the USSC banned prayer in public schools. This country has been slouching towards Gomorrah ever since.
Looking around, our gardens are a mess! Time to clean up those gardens that sustain us, now and for the future.
The noxious weeds are taking over and soon those gardens will no longer provide. It's time to till under the BS we've spread around and replant again in fresh, clean soil.
I’ll never forget what the late Dr. James D. Kennedy spoke as an analogy of the hammer and anvil. He said all down through history there have been attempts to wipe out any references to the Almighty One and that no matter how many times or how hard the strikes of the hammer that the anvil never breaks and cannot be shattered. This is a source of great comfort and relief that the enemies of the Almighty will never, ever ultimately succeed in their striking, arrogant madness and rebellion against Him-—bless His Holy name forever and ever.
Now if we could just straighten Ben out on tax policy.
Indeed. Thank you for sharing. I loved D. James Kennedy. If it weren’t for him, I might never have ended up in his denomination, the Presbyterian Church in America(PCA).
Thanks ReformationFan.
Well Ben: It’s like this son.
You better get used to it,because we are becoming a less Godless country every day.
Millions of Catholics just told the Church to kiss their azz Nov. 6th, American Jews told Israeli Jews to suck off, Millions of Protestants are switching to Homo pastors.
If there is a God, and he destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, we cannot be far behind.
So you would bring back compulsory, i.e., state-mandated, prayer as the cure-all for the nation’s decline? Ridiculous!
Compulsory, state-mandated prayer?!!
What kind of history books have you been reading?
That is all that is prohibited. What do you call it when the school administrator tells the kids to bow their heads and recite a prayer wriiten and approved by the principal.
So you would bring back compulsory, i.e., state-mandated, prayer as the cure-all for the nations decline? Ridiculous!
Gee! That is EXACTLY what I got from Signalman's post/s. He MUST have meant that he supports state-mandated prayer/s. He could NOT have been commenting on how our nation has turned away from God, and how God has turned away from our nation. It's only about state-mandated prayer.
Some people will never understand what we've done to this nation.
“Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.”
Yes, when he complained about removal of compulsory prayer, I made the crazy assumption he wants it back. I do not want any government official telling me when, where, and how to pray. The USSC got it right in1962, and conservative efforts to reverse it are wrong- headed, even if good-hearted.
Complained? You are aware of what happens when you make assumptions, correct?
Sorry Soldier Dad, I should have said “rejoiced over.” Of course it was a complaint.
Indeed. A natural consequence of having no fear of God is instead having the absolute fear of man.
