You need to jump off your high horse, which for you will be a long tumble, and read some Proverbs, some of Paul’s other epistles, and study some parables.

I would also like to know why showing wisdom in prepardeness somehow means you won’t have skillsets....and won’t have the Word of God.

If I stock up on guns, gold, cash, generators, fuel, batteries, groceries, etc - I will still have my Bibles and my skill sets.

Or, you could just be a bitter old prune looking for a fight and intentionally going off topic.

Just sharing real world experiences dealing with hard times.

I've had plenty of them. Humbling ones.

By all means, prep with all the material things you think you might need. Lord knows I do as I can, and you don't need my blessing or permission to do what you think is right.

The topic is preparedness for hard times, correct?

You’re wrong about Johnny. He is down to earth and can survive anywhere and has had to do that in the wilderness for a long period of time.

He was just saying survival can be done if you don’t have the blessing of goods. He is also a Godly man.

I don’t think he’s off topic. I’m glad he said what I didn’t: not everyone can afford gold or a generator; not everybody is going to be able to save cash. But if you know how, it’s still possible to survive.

I am going to have a hard time surviving on my own—I’m just a lady in her middle years. No money to buy gold or a good generator—nothing at all. I’m focused on buying medication and laying in firewood and ammunition, just to try to hold out as long as possible. I sure wish all this would be put off for eight or nine months ‘til I can get out of this house, but that’s probably too optimistic.

I’ve had to give away preps 4 times since Y2K. A lot of missions and food banks were blessed. I had to go where the Lord sent me and it didn’t include being able to take them. When my husband, daughter and I were broke on a Pacific Island, we found food in the refrigerator we didn’t buy or put there. I’ve seen food multiplied. When we had practically nothing, our neighbors out of the blue brought a whole stem of bananas. Another time, our other neighbors invited us to a feast, just for us, to meet us because I’d been friendly to their daughter. When I was single and without work, with almost nothing in the fridge, I found yogurt (my favorite) that I knew was put there supernaturally. You don’t miss stuff like that if your fridge is pretty much bare. We went to a weekly walk when we had nothing for our daughter. The group was having a picnic that day that included cake so we all celebrated her birthday. Prepping is wise, but it’s wiser to find out what the Lord specifically wants one to do. One shoe doesn’t always fit all. Do I have a well stocked pantry and other supplies? Will they end up being given away again? Only God knows. God can still send a raven today.

I hear a lot about preppers who are convinced that they can survive with gold, guns, and other supplies.
Unfortunately, you will be shortly overrun by the massive hordes of those who do not have what you have.
You would need an army to protect you and your treasures.

I don't know who you are or anything about you so I can say little about how prepared you are.

However, even not knowing that, I would far rather be stranded and knocking on JRF's front door looking for an assist than yours.

That boy has got some mad skills.

Yer picking a fight with the wrong FReeper, *noob*.

I’ve read plenty of his posts on these prepper threads. Perhaps you should before shooting off your mouth again.

I’d sooner have him as a neighbor than about anyone else I can think of, including, likely, you.

*bitter old prune* my foot. Take the plank out of your own eye.

Have I gotten into a time machine and gone back to the 1990's and stumbled into a good old fashioned "flame war"?!?! :O

JRandomFreeper appears to be living Leviticus ch 25 each and every day; how can he be in danger of any “tumble?”

Leviticus 25 is the Lord’s ‘preparedness manual.’
