If we wait for the government to slowly crumble over 4 or more years, the more of our infrastructure will also be lost (through stealing, conversion, sale to foreign interests, and just plane old neglect because nobody will spend the money to keep it up and in good conditions.
Instead our leaders will piecemeal disassemble EVERYTHING or just let it set and rot. Instead of spending money for "Our" national benefits, they are going to spend it on N. Africa, the Middle East, Greece, Spain, The U.N., Argentina yet-ta yet-ta yet-ta!
Obama has been promising for a LONG time now, to bring this country to the same economic standard as the rest of the world and we need to shut him down - NOW or as soon as possible.
We can form a Militia and fight but a lot of us will lose our lives in the process. Obama will just bring in foreign troops (UN) to put down any insurrection.
He has also tried and will probably succeed as building a National Police Force which he has mentioned "numerous" times. -- In other words (Gestapo).
You can sit and suffer, bitch and complain or you can take advantage of everything you can. Medicaid, Unemployment, Food Stamps, Aid to dependent children, and EVERY Government program you can find.
Once the government shuts down and the banks fail (which they will) they can not pay for troops to save their sorry butts and they will scurry to Europe, Russia, etc, etc, because they know they won't be safe here because they will not have anyone to protect them.
I know it is hard to be a "TAKER" but that is what the system is being designed to be.
You will make just as much as the guy next door and you will both be scrounging for food, clothing, and housing.

Then the option is....to become them and to help hasten the drain and demise. Cut income (at least that is on the books and W-2s) and become the ‘needy’). Drain them, drain us all until there is no more.
The prudent would, beforehand make sure that measureable income, assets and such would escape the lazy bureaucrat’s scrutiny.

The left and their parasite supporters rely on Gov’t money and mandates. What if the Federal Gov’t was bankrupt? What if instead, power returned to State and local Gov’ts due to sheer necessity?
It won’t be pretty (and the US could very well turn into a centralized military dictatorship in the course of things), but its one way to return to ideals of limited Gov’t.
Do it! You will suffer for awhile and so will everyone but it is far better than suffering for decade after decade.
Plant a garden. Work for cash from friends and trade among neighbors. They can’t patrol ALL garage sales, nor can they regulate money exchanged from individuals for services rendered unless you give them a receipt or something to trace back to you.
If power returned to the states (Texas has made that a goal and JUST MIGHT do it very soon - and then other states will follow quickly thereafter. It would probably be a landslide of successions.
THAT is what we want to accomplish. Starve the Lib states and defend our particular state(s).
You are right on! However we need a plan to boycott and buycott. I have an idea on how we can make it work and will post later. Point is we should pick one business in each sector and absolutely destroy it. If we would have the all talk and no action conservatives do something other than blow hot air we could change things quickly.
Oh yeah please do not give to charities. Absolutely nothing!!!! The free SH*T army could care less about your donation. The only thing most of the minorities want your death and suffering. Unfortunate but after this it should be clear that the matrix is now exposed.... The 47% would be very happy with thousands of dead freedom loving people. Start a home business. Legally deduct as much as you can. Invest the savings in things that will have value when the lights go out or paper is worthless.
The Sandy storm is a good study on what may happen. Be in a position where you don’t have to stand in line for gas. Diesel stores longer and safer than gas. A rocket stove will give free heat and cook food.
Prepping is a mindset , like tree hugging but much more practical and rewarding. A wood- fired sauna will give excellent personal sanitation with little water consumption.
We are basically in a Cold War now with gov’t domination. Govern yourself accordingly.

I’ve been paying an average of $46,000-odd dollars to the Feds for the last four years. Plus another $11,000 or so to the state.
Going Galt.
In 2013 I’ll cut back the business to where I’ll be taking an equivalent of about 28%, tax-wise, to each. Nothing illegal. Just cutting back the life-style and support of numerous family and friends starting 31 December.
This has cuased wailing and a gnashing of teeth on a Biblical scale. I’ve done my best to explain to them that there is war on.

The goal is to pay as little as possible in any form of tax.

Have checked many sites online of survival. Will check those you suggested. PS. Most things are edible including grass, skunks, snakes. Have tried most but never skunk but they are supposed to taste just like pork.
Beware of banks. THEY will the the first to go under. I no longer keep "cash" in my account except that which I know is going to immediately pay bills.

Buy lots of canned goods, dried noodles, rice, beans.
