If you’re a young Obama voter and you happen to be reading this, then give yourself a pat on the back for having the intellectual curiosity to read something else besides what Jay-Z and your ex-hippie college professors think. You’re in the minority, and I applaud you for it.
And it’s not your fault that you don’t know anything about American politics. Your professors haven’t taught you anything but the left-wing pablum that has been spoonfed you since second grade.
You voted in 2012 for Obama. Here’s your participation trophy.
But it looks pretty bad when repeated “man on the street” interviews show that the most unblinking Obama voters know very little about the basic functioning of American government; whose platform was whose before the election; and the main issue facing citizens: the economy. To be fair, if you airdropped someone into the backwoods of America and asked your typical conservative recluse about basic civics, he would likely fare no better. Yet liberals are supposed to be intellectually superior to everyone else, due to their proper academic pedigree.

Brain Death: It’s not just for Zombies anymore.
I have been saying this for a very long time, and this last election proves it. The so called American people are no longer capable of self governance.
They know everything they have to know. If they vote Dem that don’t have to take the initiative and risk to rob their more productive fellow citizens. They can sit on their asses and have the government transfer the loot electronically right to their accounts. What’s more to know?
Just stop at the word clueless. Liberals are clueless. period.
I have talked to them and the level of naivete and lack of understanding, on all subjects, is breathtaking.
Actually saw one Obamabot post this on a message board:
“Abortion is science. Repuvlicams don’t like abortion because it’s scientific.”
They all understand the word free, as in free food, free phones, ect. Too bad they don’t understand the word freedom.
That is so stupid on so many levels it hurts to think about it.
There will be many more in 2016 voting for Hillery.
At my workplace politics is a very rare topic of conversation. In the few years I’ve been there, I’ve overheard politics come up only a tiny handful of times. The last time was just a couple days or so before we got hit by hurricane sandy. I overheard a coworkers say how she intended to vote for obama. How she always votes democrat. And she also said “you’ve got to have a brain to vote democrat”.
At that I leaned in and asked her who her congressman is. She said she didn’t know. I asked who her senator is. Her answer? “Ummmmm....Hillary Clinton?”

Not surprising at all, but nauseating - every time - nonetheless !
When I was in the 8th grade I took a mandatory US government class. To receive a passing grade you had to pass the US citizen test.
Born and raised in Phila. Catholic school for first 8 years.
1950’s - learned about parties, platforms, and yes even planks
1960;s - 9-12 - Public school due to relocation - outside of Philly
Civics class was more sociology - beginning of touchy feely world

I read a posst here the other day in which a guy was saying that his daughter said she vor=ted for Obama because she didn’t like the way Romney laughed and interrupted during the debate. He informed her that it was Joe Biden who did that and she said she didn’t like him either, but she voted for Obama.
If Hillary runs in 2016 it'll be as a Republican. She's far too conservative for today's Democrat party.
