since the dog wasn't shot subsequent to the cop getting shot, i guess that's proof it wasn't dangerous in the first place...

Perhaps a theological argument could be made that this occurrence is proof that G*d likes dogs?
Hmmn, if so, then by extension one could say that G*d doesn’t approve of poorly trained, trigger happy, and out of control LEOs.

accidentally shot by a fellow officer who was trying to shoot a pit bull, but missed. -and then some of the people in the house were arrested. Wonder what the warrant was about, maybe I missed it. What a botched up deal....

“Only trained, licensed, professional personnel should have the right to own and carry weapons.”
Sounds like a LEO in Miami who said something to that effect just before shooting himself in teh foot in front of the pooblik skrewl collective class.
He was, in comparison, a “professional LEO” in that he shot himself instead of his partner.
Give the Devil in s state issued uniform his due - he finished the classroom presentation after shooting himself in the foot.

Will it take something like this to end the War on Dogs?If they would just let the police officers have dog fighting, this would not happen.
They need to kill dogs one way or the other.

If it ever comes down to cops shooting my dogs, I’m replacing them with a pair of 25 foot reticulated pythons for home defense. Cops might shoot the retics but before they expire, they’ll do bad things to the cops.
So, for officer safety, leave my dogs alone unless you really want the last thing you see is the gullet of a retic up real close.

The comments here and after the Fox14 story are universally anti-cop.
Thanks a lot, you marxist, dumbed-down-cop, police state, leftist bastids. You’ve completed the us-vs.-them mentality that will get us all killed.

Weird story is weird.
The cop who was shot and is in critical condition (Bryant) is not the cop who was trying to shoot the dog.
The cop who was trying to shoot the dog is the one who shot Bryant.
Bryant was wearing a bullet proof vest, but he is reported to be in critical condition.
Considering that the shooter cop was aiming at the general level of a pit bull, just where on his body was Bryant struck that resulted in a critical injury in spite of his bullet proof vest?
Just idle curiousity about a weird story.
