Also, much as I agree they are human filth, the Islamists in North Africa just aren't nearly as strong as you seem to be imagining them to be. They are mostly a bunch of religious rabble with only a small core that is really organized and in any way a threat. North African Islamists aren't going to be a significant military threat to Israel or Europe anytime soon.
If the US economy tanks, China may be more likely. But right now, they still need us to buy their crap.
