That's why I swing that 17th amendment hammer so much. It was nothing more than a popular vote amendment for senators. We've got a solid GOP majority in the state legislature and a majority of our representatives in DC are republican. Unfortunately, Detroit, Flint, and Ann Arbor keep electing Levin and Stabenow.
