Getting 'stuff' from the government -- even though I have a job (Galt's gultch
today | me

Posted on 11/08/2012 12:38:26 PM PST by Rocky Mountain Wild Turkey

Anybody have ideas of how to receive as much from the government, even though one has a nice, middle income with a job? Programs, websites, forms that I can legally apply for?

... Would really like some of the action before it dries up ...

[Note: I am not in favor of this path, but I have to think of how we can starve the beast as fast as we can, before we are prepared to pick of the pieces to start over...]

I’d be interested in this too, and I don’t really care about the morality of it.

So you’d be ok with taking people’s hard earned money? Sorry I can’t help you, as it has never crossed my mind on ways to take people’s money.

We also need to start thinking in terms of petty acts of rebellion and insurrection. Nothing overtly illegal, just little things to vex and annoy the government and it minions.

Kinda make them tired of going to work each day.

‘we are prepared to pick of the pieces to start over..’
If you think that we will have a say on the rebuilding of this nation after the ‘Progressives’ designed implosion, you don’t know youre history. We’re along way from finding freedom again. There is a process and right now we’re between apathy and dependence.

I am of the same mind although i am sure i could legally qualify as i am as of today just on social security, my boss said he was closing down if Obama got back in.

I don,t have any idea how to go about it.

I’ve thought along similar lines in the past, but never with the urgency that seems appropriate now.

From what I’ve gathered, the sad fact is that if you have any income, you’re probably ineligible for most things.

However, there are some interesting ideas here: http://www.starvingthemonkeys.com/taxated/IncorporationTips.html

I’ve been thinking a lot about the above today, and I think there are several ways to make it work. The Cliff Notes version is that if you can become an independent contractor, even if to your current employer (assuming they’ll play ball), than a lot of costs become deductible expenses. You can also, if I read it correctly, turn a large personal income into a small personal income, plus a large corporate income, which would potentially make you eliglible for otherwise means-tested programs.

The big question, if you have health insurance through your employer, is how you’ll purchase whatever level you feel you need independently. That is probably going to be an ever-moving target over the next few years too.

Haven't you heard: It's not your or my hard earned money anymore ... it's the government's... and I'm entitled to it [/sarcasm].

Desperate times call for desperate measures .... sometimes the best weapon against an enemy is the same one they are using against you ...

Do you think we would have won the American Revolution without employing guerrilla tactics? Or, would we be like the Redcoats who kept cryin' foul ... and lost ...

Ok thanks for the info, but i would,nt do that to them, i would take government money just to help them go bankrupt, or at least it is something to think about.
