Need to rant, sorry ahead of time for the tirade, The people have spoken and I have changed my political position. I am no longer anti-tax and I will support any and all tax and fee increases going forward at every level of government for the next 4 years. Raise property taxes, raise the sales tax, enact tolls on all bridges, tunnels, and interstates, raise the gas tax, add a milage tax... and on the federal side raise the income tax, not just on the rich, but for everybody, let the payroll tax reduction expire, raise the healthcare tax/penalty, raise all fees, and eliminate all tax credits and deductions. I am now an all of the above kind of guy. Afterall, that is what we have been voting for. Free healthcare, free birth control, free food, free trains and free train rides, free cell phones, cash for clunkers, free arenas with a new basketball team, free development everywhere, it goes on and on. It is about time people see what it is like to pay for all this free stuff. Until then, we will never get back on track, but instead will keep voting for free stuff until the Ponzi Scheme crashes. Raise taxes, fees, and tolls on all.

That’s why the first bill to come out of the Republican House in January 2013 should be THE SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY AND FOODSTAMP AND FDA REVIEW ACT OF 2013. They got caught napping and the Democrats used those programs to redistribute wealth and buy votes. Elections have consequences. Thievery should have consequences, too.

Many don't see the danger this Obama is to us , our freedom and America. You and I did the right thing we voted to defeat Obama. What else could we do? I am proud of us in Louisiana (we had 70% voter turnout and voted 60% to 40% for Romney or against the marxist monster) and I am proud of you and all of us who fought the last battle for freedom for voting against this communist Obama. Now the monster has won and democrats/socialists have now reached the tipping point. It is only a matter of time before democrats take away the rest of our freedom . mark my words. The 6 million conservatives who stayed home (probably more than that as here in LA we had 70% voter turnout and in the whole country republicans had what 50%?) or the conservatives who voted 3rd party have now turned this country into a 1 party country the democrats now have total power and it is only a matter of time before socialism/tyranny totally takes over. they are importing democrats by the millions every year from the 3rd world. in 4 years they the communists/democrats will have us outnumbered .this was our last chance that we had to win a national election that won't go to the democrats/communists. and many of those purists who stayed home have the fault for the destruction of freedom and America. Yes there are problems with the selection of our candidate. some are that they allow democrats to vote in our primaries and of course democrats vote for who they think they can beat. They (democrats and the media) wanted a rich white man to run against and they got it.
also the media knocks out any R woman like palin, or any R minority like Cain or any conservative R like Gingrich . it is not the GOP who is sitting there selecting people for us it is the media. The media savagely smeared palin , cain ,gingrich, that woman Bacman, etc. They will smear any woman republican or minority. The media knocked out Palin . She would have won. ditto with cain, Bachman.

I talked to moderates who said they voted for obama because they believed the media lie that Romney was only for the rich . It's harder for the media to paint a woman like palin or a man like Cain in that role so this is why they savagely smeared Palin.

The voters who stayed at home didn't turn us into a one party country. The republicans are racing to out liberal the liberals. The people staying at home are not causing that - they are responding to it.

As as for the end of this country; yes hard times are ahead. They will be harder on those who are now dependent on the government that those that are self-reliant. Yes, there will be wilding during the crash, but this is a large land mass for those who know how to get to ourselves and live off of it.

The packs will die trying to find us. They will be an army without supplies. Remember, Patton and Eisenhower both said Marshall won the war. And they knew what they were talking about.

Scotland will now vote to be independent from England. Why can't we? we have the right to vote for independence don't we?

So you have the courage to vote for secession, but cannot tell the GOP-e "No"? Look at the price that was paid for Independence from England and the Civil War.

If you don't have the intestinal fortitude to weather 4 (or 8 or 10) years to starve the takers off the government, you need to do some real soul searching before suggesting you are willing to pledge "your life and fortune" like our founding fathers did.

You argument remains "at least Romney wouldn't have been as bad as Obama". You cannot say that his record shows he would have been conservative. You are defending the "frog in a pot" shallower slope model. Drastic moves by Obama may be the instantaneous infusion of hot water that makes the frog jump out. It may wake people up when a compromise away from the Obamacare repeal or a tax increase on the rich compromise wouldn't.

Your goal seems to be leave your grand kids without a country rather than your kids.
