2012: The Year of the Liberal?
ABC news ^ | Nov 8, 2012 | Elizabeth Hartfield

The 2012 general election was a great night for Democrats. Barack Obama swept to an electoral college victory, racking up 303 of those votes to Mitt Romney's 206 (although those numbers will change when the battleground state of Florida is called). Democrats also likely picked up a net gain of two seats in the Senate. Every incumbent won re-election, and the party gained Republican-held seats in Massachusetts and Indiana, and lost one seat in Nebraska. The state of Maine is still a question mark: Independent candidate Angus King won his election to fill the seat vacated by retiring Republican Sen. Olympia Snow. King has not declared his intention to caucus with either party, but conventional wisdom is that King will be more friendly to Democrats than Republicans. But the broader trend of Tuesday night's results was not just a victory for Democrats, it was a victory for the party's liberal base. Incoming Democratic freshmen senators like Elizabeth Warren and Tammy Baldwin (the first openly gay senator elected) are considered to be progressive icons, rising stars with the base of their party. They defeated well-known, moderate Republican opponents- Scott Brown and former Wisconsin Gov. Tommy Thompson. Across the country, statewide referendums yielded results not generally considered popular with conservatives.

Sad thing is that liberals only win by reducing their constituents to meaningless life of dependence, anger and self hatred. Eventually these folks are going to turn on them. They may destroy everything of value in this country but it will not leave them better off.

Look at what the left in this country has been reduced to militant, whiney homosexuals, women who proudly call themselves sluts while destroying their offspring, parades with perverts from NAMBLA, union thugs (who will not keep their power for any longer than their members can maintain their jobs), Sexually confused deviants, young people with useless degrees and too much time on their hands, foolish hollywood rif raf, and an entire horde of lifetime dependents and third world dreamers. And last but not least of few business men who lack any sense on how to keep their business competitive so they use the government as a weapon against those who are far more intelligent than they are.

This is not a coalition that can stand indefinately. They may hate us, but they will throw each other under the bus first to maintain power while hoping the rest of us are really as stupid as they hope we are.

2012: The Year of the Liberal?

Yes. Unemployment will skyrocket, businesses will go bust. There will be homelessness and crime. There will be unprecedented misery. There will be weeping and gnashing to teeth.
Yes, the next 4 years will be a perfect liberal utopia - where the misery is "equally shared".

the article fails, entirely

because it does not look at how much more “Red” are the governors and state legislatures, where GOP gains outnumbered the Dim gains

Well stated.

When you look at the percentages represented by those groups you can see how
Obamas team went after adding to the roles of the non thinkers to push ahead
in a tight election.

They are the 47 % and the MSM did a great job in falsely portraying vets, others, who pay taxes as the greater majority of the alledged 47% Romney was really
talking about.

My plan is that anyone who is a Democrat does not get my money, let them starve, I can hold out and change who I do business with.

%8 million voted RED

So to the media it’s the year of the liberal and they are happy and celebrating.
