btw, knowing i was depressed, PPP called me last night asking for my opinion once more. They wanted to know who i voted for, when i voted [early, on election day, via absentee etc.} Asked about President, Senate and Rep. Asked how important funding for eduction was in my decision, SEVERAL questions about it, whether i would think badly of a politician who voted to strip funding from k-12,strip funding from HS, strip funding from colleges. to which i responded that it would not make me thinking badly of him one little bit [i am already paying for the fricking pub school system ON TOP OF my kids tuition and my kids never spent a minute in a pub school, so i do not give a good damn about pub school funding] They also asked about abortion, though not as in depth. And wanted to know if i would vote dem or repub for Governor if election were held today. I was straight up on the demographics this time and it asked race, party, age, gender, ethnicity etc. Did not ask income or education, however.

I think two serious issues were at play in this election, besides the fraud and I do think it was there. First, you have the gimme mine culture of losers who are allowed to vote. I am dangerously close to thinking if you don’t pay taxes, you shouldn’t be allowed to pick those who spend that money. And second, I think pride was a big factor. People who were wrong about ozero do not want to admit it and would rather bitterly cling to their opinion before admitting they were horribly wrong. And yes, I said it.

if they were wrong they could bitterly cling to that mistake from the comfort of their home, they didn’t need to go reelect him and compound it!

Now you are applying logic to illogical people. Why did 3 million Republicans stay home?

that perplexes me. i can’t believe there are that many loons who thought that a vote for Tom Hoefling, or sitting home, was preferable to voting for the only person who could possibly save us from this current nightmare. i thought, truly, that it was a handful of loons on FR.

I fell under the same assumption as Truthy, thinking there were more like thinkers out there because I don’t socialize or associate with any who are not, except for some of the Vandy folk and we have very little in common except for the same signature on our paychecks. So I was isolated and the lack of enthusiasm for ozero buoyed my hope that he was OTD.

well i have plenty of contact with those types, and i STILL thought there were more of us. The lack of tangible signs of support this time as compared to last had me thinking they would not show to the polls.

Yes, the lack of yard signs, I thought, was a sign of a lack of enthusiasm of former Zero voters. And lets face it, 10 million of them stayed home too. But the bigger thing is a lot of Zero's voters do not have yards.

All of Obama’s syncophants
Have scurried to close ranks
In hopes that Aminadanutjob
Won’t see us shooting blanks

The sequacious bunch has scurried
To throw the public a stale bone
Hoping we’ll drop Bengazigate
In favor of a predator drone

By trying again to take a page
From the playbook of Nixon’s game
They’ve shown they want to be worthy
Of his devious and reviled name...

“there are that many loons”

Yeah, there are-and some are people I thought I knew...

When I stopped at my friend’s deli for my weekly treat of a small turkey and cheese, my plumber friend who is her neighbor, was there getting a sandwich, too. He and I were making small talk in the parking lot, when somehow the subject turned to the election and politics, and I guess I’ve been more affected by the election debacle than I thought.

Proving that you don’t always know your friends, he proceeded to talk like an absolute moonbat, and I just went off on him, told him he was ignorant, crazy as a s***house rat, etc. He just chuckled, patted me on ther shoulder and said something like don’t-worry-your-pretty-head-darlin’, and I was so furious that I shoved him with both hands so hard that he stepped backwards into the fender of his truck, and I hissed don’t you dare patronize me, you ass****, got into my car and left.

He was one of MrT5’s best friends, and has always been either fair or free with his plumbing work for me, so I feel awful about acting like such a bitch-but I’m out of patience with people with his mindset right now, so I have no intention of apologizing. I will be needing a couple of small plumbing repairs soon, so I guess I will know if all is well if he answers my service call...

Remember back in August when I told you the campaign was incompetent on the ground and didn’t do the basics necessary to win?

Well seems it never got better

I am not a hotheaded latina, I am a stoic Eastern European but if I had some jacka$$ say don’t worry your pretty little head to me I’d have gone off on them too. I don’t blame you one bit!!!
And I’m operating on a hair trigger these days also. The daughters of my black lib friend are annoying the crap out of xsbaby on Facebook with obamaluv. I haven’t spoken to my friend since mid-sept pretty much bc of the election knowing they are on the other side. I won’t be able to speak to her for a few more at least. Xsbaby sends me the FB entries and my inclination is to blow them sky high for it, xsbaby is tempted to unfriend, and xsteen is counseling to ignore it. I don’t want to lose the 25 yr friendship and I know Cheryl would be sensitive to me and the girls personally but the Facebook millieu lends itself to that crap. She’s not said anything but the daughters are loving on the obams family. In any event, I sympathize. Were anyone to say ANYTHING untoward to me now, I’d go absolutely ape$hit on them

A++ for the poetry and the parking lot rant. I think we go Weekend at Bernie’s to keep Ginsburg propped up until we get a republican back in office.

Y'ALL! This is a must listen interview! Who knew this guy lived and worked here in my town? Not me, but I am thoroughly impressed with him and his arguments.

I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who is in nitro mode just now-these are emotionally trying times...

You are likely doiung the right thing by keeping your cool-no sense in having a nasty dust-up with a friendin a very public venue-even if I did shove one of mine in the parking lot of a deli on the main road...

I don’t do Facebook, nor do my girls, for pretty much the reasons you described. That is a place where Nemesis has gone and set himself up as a guru to gullible women. He asked me to go communicate with him there, and I said hell no I don’t need a cult leader to follow.

“creeps me out” is a perfect way to describe the kind of cyber-exhibitionism I’m talking about. Lots of people with ego issues go to sites that are much less innocent than FB, too-sort of like going to a down-and-dirty whorehouse for some kinky action, then going back to a topless bar for just a beer-eeewwww!

I was LMAO just now-Beckel was spouting the same arguments on the Five that got my plumber friend reamed at the deli-but at least he didn’t tell either of the women not to worry their pretty little heads...
