My friend who works at RIM in Irving, TX just called to tell me he, and 3000 others, were just laid off. The plant is closing. He says another employee told him it was because of the election.
It's a sad day for this man as he was already extremely depressed that Romney lost. Now to lose his job?

They closed down a plant with 3000 employees the day after the election? hmmm, sounds like there might be a bit more to do with this than just obama winning (although I am sure that did not help)

My husband works at a coal fired plant. We are waiting on the decision if it’s staying open or not. obama voters are so stupid. Pretty soon there won’t be anyone working to pay for their obama stash. What do they think is gonna happen then?
And thanks to those who voted for the Jack Wagon. I wonder how many of those 3k employees did. I only have sympathy for the ones that voted against the commie.
We are going to see this repeated all over the country. And Bush will still get the blame and the idiots will buy it.

Why would you say that? Why would the re-election of a man who abhors the free market not be reason enough to pull the plug on a business. Hell, I pulled the plug on mine after his FIRST election.

According to my friend, they had no clue at his plant. They were told layoffs would be “elsewhere”.
Yeah, a decision like that isn't made overnight and implemented the next day. RIM is in serious trouble; they stuck with an outmoded product for too long and are retrenching.
my friend just closed his small business in Ferndale, michigan, as of 12/31/12...it was hanging by a thread. He is done, all due to the election.

Where is else where? Blue or red state. Could be that with Obama winning they thought those in the Blue states would fair better. Also when are the doors closing? Most of the time you don’t just shut the doors on a plant that size.
I’m self employed and was told earlier today that I may be receiving less work from a large client due to Obama being re-elected. I can’t think of any one person that has one more to damage the economy than 0. when those people that elected him can’t find any jobs and are turned away from public assistance programs because there’s not enough tax dollars in the coffers because the middle class was practically eliminated I am going to have the biggest belly laugh you’ve ever seen. They will reap what they sowed and it’s going to the best vengeance because they did it to themselves... : )
Their new model is supposed to be based upon the Android. It was supposedly downright “snazzy”. As he works on all models, including 10, he is shocked.
Probably laid off and plant closed because they can’t afford the forced 0bamacare. This isn’t even connected to sequestration. We will have a full fledged DEPRESSION before Christmas if sequestration isn’t halted.
