My buttocks are actually tan...

Posted on 11/07/2012 12:40:34 PM PST by RightStuff1

...from all the sunshine that's been pumped up my arse in the past few weeks.

-Dick Morris
-Karl Rove
-"Forget 270...300+ for Romney"
-Rasmussen
-"Looking good in Florida"
-"Looking good in Virginia"
-Huge GOP turnout coming
-"Pennsylvania in play"
-Big enthusiasm gap
-It's still the economy, stupid
-"Looking good in Colorado"
-Romney playing prevent defense because he knows he's got it
-Drudge
-Superior GOP machine in Wisconsin thanks to Walker recall efforts
-"Gonna win Ohio"
-Big Romney crowds show an excited GOP electorate
-"Looking good in New Hampshire"
-Subdued 3rd debate strategy was all Romney needed to do
-A +6 Democrat poll is ridiculously unrealistic
-The pollsters jumped through hoops to show slim Obama leads...ignore the polls
-Rush (to be honest)
-Absentee/early voting trends actually good news for Romney
-Unemployment rate near 8% = Romney win

Sheesh. What and whom to believe in the future?

Love your headline!

Yes, I was wary this time because the same sugar was pumped mercilessly where the sun don’t shine 4 years ago. Anyone not thinking McCain was going to ride out of the clouds from heaven above on election night 2008 in a chariot was ripped to shreds on FR.

And they were all wrong.

We need to learn that reality is more important that optimism before elections.

Oh, and believe the polls. And realize that if there are only days to election and your guy is down, he will lose and there is nothing you can do. So don’t wait that long.

I know the feeling...

I feel like quite the sap for all the liberals I argued with and told to ignore Nate Silver and listen to Rove and Morris. Turns of Silver was dead on and Rove and Morris were blowing smoke. Last time I make that mistake.

Sad thing is that I have a sneaking suspicion that most insiders knew that Obama was most likely going to win for months (Nate Silver never had Romney with anymore than a 30% chance of winning...ever...) and all the "sushine" pumped our way was to create ratings for various news outlets ...cough..cough...Fox News...and hits to websites (Morris and Rove).

Don’t believe anyone, and get out and vote.

My assessment of this election is that turnout for conservatives was forecast to be really good. Thus, many figured they didn’t need to vote because it was in the bag. Overconfidence, in other words. A lot has been made of Christians sitting out the election in protest, but I think most of the missing conservatives were lazy, not protesting.

This is not to discount the effect of cheating on the part of Democrats, which was probably 10 percent of the total. We needed it to be a blowout, and anything close to a tie is a win for the democrats.

Yep! That’s a good list. Nailed it.

Dick Morris, Barone and Rove have lost a lot of credibility. I understand they could not tell voters/watchers Obama 303 prior to the election or people would have had opposite reaction and asked for the hides and/or not voted for being depressed. Still at least Rove had it the closest of all.

At least I didn’t swallow all the Kool Aid and jump into Intrade with a foolish bet (like I was thinking of doing...)

Heck, Rove still had me convinced that Romney was going to win in, if not a landslide then a convincing manner at 9:30EST last night. I was starting to worry because Florida, Virginia, North Carolina and Ohio were looking extremely tight and Rove came on Fox with a big smile on his face and assured everybody that this was expected because the early votes that favored Obama were counted first and his tally of the actual votes by counties showed Romney ahead in the counties he needed to win and Obama behind in the counties he needed to win. He stopped just short of declaring Romney the winner then and there.

I went to bed fully expecting Romney to be the next president...needless to say I should have slept in...

Not so fast there....

The data themselves all pointed to a Romney win. Empirically, he should have won.

I tend to suspect that there’s some massive fraud that has gone on. Otherwise, the numbers (not the predictions, but that actual data) just don’t add up.

Either there’s fraud, or math has stopped working like it should.

Why do we not accept the fact that there are more people who want socialism than those of us who do not? It is becoming a fact and until we accept that we are doomed to failure.

Look at the last few elections: Clinton easily won twice, Bush barely beat Gore and Kerry, and Obama ran away with it twice. The takers have caught up with the makers and we are losing ground every day. Nothing short of a miracle or total economic collapse is going to change this course.

Young people are being indoctrinated, from kindergarten, into the fact that everything should be instant and free: phones, TV, internet, software, etc. This has been going on for a few decades and we are seeing the results with each passing election.

Right now, I have no answers as to what we need to do.

The past few weeks? Try the last six years, at a minimum. Maybe now, if Rush reassesses his audience demographic, we might start getting some realistic and usable analysis for a change. His goal of staying on the air until every last person in America agrees with him hasn't worked. Election numbers show that the base (and soon his audience) is shrinking. I hope he's prepared for whatever fresh hell the FCC will bring down upon him, because there's no doubt that it's coming now.

Conservatism may work every time it's tried, but it will fail 100% of the time that the majority votes against it.

WTH was up with the Gallup, Pew, and Rasmussen party ID numbers showing R+3 or more? Was that all in deep red states?

Thank you.

Oh, and believe the polls.

Correct again. All this foolishness about "unskewing" polls should end now and never, ever be brought up again. That was the height of ridiculousness.

The old rule of elections stands true today. If you're disputing polls, especially as many as conservatives were, you are losing.

I agree. Maybe what these experts didn't take into account was the very sophisticated fraud techniques.

Bit by bit, little by little, beginning with the Reagan amnesty we accepted willing or unwillingly the trickle, and then the stream, and finally the deluge of illegals. The Executive Order enforcing the Dream Act, will now make this a tsunami. Hispanics broke 71% for Obama and will break more for the Rats in years to come. In CA they are responsible for insuring that every statewide office holder is a Rat and tax hikes under Initiative 30 will go into effect so that free K-12 schooling for illegals will happily go on.

This same phenomenon is occurring with Muslim immigration where the typical family breeds like rabbits. Mosques that were once isolated are now springing up like seaweed everywhere and in neighborhoods all around you. This sea-change in national identity was confirmed last night.

Adios America (grief stricken)

Digital nanipulation is all it is.

In most of the vote theft states the voter doesn’t even hand mark a card or sheet; its just spots on a screen!
