Why not just do what the Dems did? Blow it up from the inside and blame the guy in power. This is how you do it
1. Raise Taxes: Let the Bush tax cuts expire for everyone thus raising taxes
2. Fiscal Cliff: Do not raise the debt ceiling
3. Blame Obama for the outcome
The beauty of this approach is that it necessarily guarantees smaller government, if forces cuts in spending. It increases unemployment on Obama's watch (hey, they voted for this). It paints liberalism as the reason for the downfall. If I were running things up there this is exactly what I would do and I would have a landslide victory in 2014. From there I would gridlock further and say that we can't work with the President, his ideas have brought us 20% unemployment and drastically devalued the dollar. Liberalism will be reduced to rubble for at least a decade. Is it worth destroying the country to gain back power? Personally, I think this would be a dramatic improvement on the country. No one would look to the government because the poverty of the feds would be evident. We won't have to talk about fiscal cliff's anymore because we already jumped. The only questions we would have to ask is what to cut next. If you're not able to get the President to agree to cut then that's fine, just wait him out and landslide again in 2016 with a rabid Conservative.

Sounds good to me. 8.00 a gallon gas sounds good too. Let them enjoy what they voted for. And those that stayed home too. I’m not mad, just want to get even. I just need to figure out somewhere safe to stash our savings while things crumble.

Sometimes you do need to step back a let your children fall before they learn. However, the Dems know exactly what they are doing. The cold hard truth is that they want to destroy this country and it will take bloodshed for conservatives to take it back (which is what they want to create a civil war so they can solidify their power).
The constitution has been ignored but there are still 3 branches of government (I could argue for times as these). It doesn’t take bloodshed if their is some courage. If Obama got a mandate so did the House. I wish Rush would promote this idea. The beauty is for this to happen the house just has to do nothing. They’re good at that so it’s not that much of a stretch
I agree, and was saying just that this morning. The House should give Obama EVERYTHING HE WANTS, including confiscatory tax rates on those earning over two hundred grand a year, with no loopholes and no exceptions. Just make sure everybody knows that these are OBAMA’S TAXES. No more Republican obstructionism folks. It’s Obama’s Way, all the way.
Unfortunately, Step 3 will not happen, even if Steps 1 and 2 do.
Here's what will happen:
3. Obama will blame the House Republicans for refusing to "compromise" (that is, for not giving in to Obama's every whim).
More blame will be heaped upon "greedy" millionaires who refuse to pay their "fair share" (which will be whatever percentage Obama says is fair).
The MSM will go along with Obama. Most Americans will believe whatever the MSM tells them.
They did that the first two years of the first term and 4 years later a majority were stilling blaming Bush. Unless their is pain there will not be restoration
Therefore, they get to name the bills.
Simply name the bill, the "Obama Tax Bill of 2012."
or the "Democrat Party Tax Increase Bill"
or some such name ...

the military will need to find some way to support itself ~ maybe some freebooting ~ that's a real old fashioned way to get the money to move your aircraft carriers but think about it, who will argue with a boatload of nukes!
Just need to get rid of the House Majority leader who thinks this was a mandate to work together. pfft!
The debt ceiling is effectively irrelevant.
The government can justify issuing itself all the debt it requires - i.e., printing money. The shenanigans that they are already up to are proof of that.
Was thinking of this as well. If the people want to drink the Obama cool aid - let them drink the whole gallon and finally teach them what full blown Socialism looks like. They certainly won’t take our word for it.
Let them take it all down.
