It must be true if the New York Times said it.

Dream on. Senate Conservatives were slaughtered. Liberal agendas (gay marriage, etc.) passing in 3 states. Comparing the raw vote numbers then and now means nothing. We have only the white male (older) and it is shrinking. We lose badly in every other demo. America is moving Left and fast If we think otherwise, it is over for us.

Shhhh....be quiet you. If the ny times think this, then more liberals will think it too.

You are correct, sadly.

I'll be fine. My kids will suffer.

irrelevant. This was a tipping point election. This was the last best shot for the GOP to capture the Presidency and establish a majority.

The GOP firewall in the House will only last another 4-6 years. After that it’s a functioning one party (Dem) system.

The House Republicans need to recognize this and allow the fiscal cliff to happen. The country that will emerge from the rubble will be better and stronger than what will happen otherwise. Just like GM would have been.

We added a lot more Governors.

The country moved left heavily in 2008. In 2012, we stopped the move & took it a bit to the right. I bet we bounce back in 2016. 2016 will be the year when it repubs will find it the republican primaries to be far more difficult than the general. Whoever wins the republican primaries will win the general. Sort of like how it happened for the dems after 8 years of Bush.

“I bet we bounce back in 2016.”

I hear this same rationale every time the Cleveland Browns take the field.

Living in Cleveland is rough all the way around.

Correct.

Rush just said we are outnumbered, and we’re in the midst of the Democratic transformation of America.

And at the end of the day. Obama’s still in the White House and Reid still controls the Senate. The country is gone. The popular vote and the Electoral vote say so.

Far more on their side stayed home this time than our side.

If the same number who voted for McCain on our side had gone out to vote Repub we would have won.
