Hope the Romneybots and Establishment Republicans are proud of themselves
Vanity | 07 Novermber 2012 | Trueblackman

Posted on 11/07/2012 8:55:57 AM PST by Trueblackman

Seems the Romneybots and Establishment Republicans now want to blame Conservatives like myself for Mittens going down to defeat last night to a political lightweight with a horrible record of mismanagement!

Not only did Mittens lose, but his much hyped coattail never materialized and not only was he defeat handily, but the Republicans lost seats and influence in the Congress.

What the establishment fails to realize and continues to not understand is that when there is not true Conservative or even Conservative Ideas on the ticket, we tend to stay home. It is time for the Republican Establishment to understand that the Karl Rove Model is not and has not worked since 2008 as the Bob Dole Model did not work in 1996.

In closing I will say again what I said last night, "When you run a Liberal against a entrenched Marxist, this is the results." If the Republicans ever want to win a national race again it must give us Conservative Candidates and dump the Dole-McCain-Romney Models as I could not simply buy into the hype of yesterday and vote against my own interest, so I wrote in myself.

Time to dump Karl Rove and the establishment Republicans now as they will warm up and pull out the Jeb Bush banner and bus in 2016, thinking the nation will not vote for Biden or someone like him.

So why did the following stalwarts lose?

Richard Mourdock in IN
Todd Akin in MO
Joe Miller in AK
Doug Hoffman in NY-23
Sharron Angle in NV
Christine O’Donell in DE
Ken Buck in CO
JD Hayworth in AZ
George Allen in VA

Were they also not conservative enough?

There were a variety of conservatives, but each one of them decided that they were only true conservative and ate each other alive.

Hindsight is always 20-20, but they could have swallowed their egos and coalesced around one of them, maybe Romney would have had a challenge, but each one saw him/herself as “the only true conservative.”

The others the establishment neither supported or did everything to hurt their image.

Ronald Reagan knew how to communicate his positions and did not allow the media and political lies shape his image, Mittens was a wishy-washy Northeastern Republican, who not only allowed the media to actually help Obama in the last 2 debates, but ran he is a nice Guy campaign and did not attack him hard enough.

I hope that the anti-Romney folks are happy with themselves.

It's obvious what happened here; the evangelicals and "no compromise" folks didn't turn out. Romney got fewer votes than McCain. All of the freepers who threatened not to come out carried through on their threat, and they gave away the Senate right along with it.

Thanks for making sure ObamaCare is here to stay.

Well, considering the whole Romney/GOP-E attitude was “evangelicals and TEA partiers need to shut up, ride in the back, and do as you’re told”, I’m not surprised many of them chose to stay home. (And I say this as someone who grudgingly voted for Romney.)

They lost because Romney DID have coat tails - negative ones. His presence on the ticket depressed Republican turnout. Romney could not overcome the contempt many Republicans felt for him; there were not enough willing to vote FOR him. Trying to get people to simply vote AGAINST the other guy without offering a reason why you are better does not work.

Way back in the primaries, I called this. I said that Romney was, despite the claims of "electability", the one candidate guaranteed to lose because he would neutralize the biggest argument against Obama: Obamacare. And his loss would hurt Republicans down-ticket.

I let my optimism get away with me watching the campaign and thought that Romney was heading for a decisive victory based on momentum and an utterly pathetic Obama campaign and final year of his term.

Turns out my original prediction was correct after all.

Romney was bulldozed by the left media. Since we, the American People have kept the lefties alive with their corporate ads and support of their networks, I believe we can and must stop buying any products or services that sell on their networks AND write to corporate headquarters or company addresses to their CEOs and lay out the future loss of their products or services because we’ve had enough of their supporting hate America socialism. That is something we should and can do, hurt them in their wallets!

Now for a little Monday morning quarterbacking. First, politics is how Democrats make money. They have way more motivation than Republicans. Second, they don’t think like us. We would say, “Food stamps! No way! That would mean I was failing!” Democrats look at food stamps and see money freed up for a car payment or a new tv. Look at how many new food stamp recipients there are. You have to give the Democrats some credit. They buy Democrat votes with confiscated Republican money. Brilliant! Look also at the number of new social security disability claims. Lump in Pigford and the dozens of other Democrat giveaways and you see that they can buy votes with taxpayer money. We’ve taken shame out of half our nation. Romney tried to talk about that and the press beat him up. If you’re healthy and drawing food stamps and disability, you ought to be ashamed of yourself, but they’re not. Shame is for bigots now. Our Representatives didn’t shut down the big government jobs machine. Obama and company bought a lot of votes with do-nothing government jobs. The last big piece of the puzzle is the Democrats picking the nominees for both parties. It’s not fair and it’s not right, but it’s legal. That has to be stopped. But, politics is how the Democrats get money, so they are disciplined enough to fall in line with their candidate no matter who it is, and that allows them the freedom to come over and use their votes to screw up the Republican party.

What a pantload. If you have to have your butt kissed to get you to vote against someone who is tantamount to evil incarnate, the today is what we end up with.

what a bunch of selfish crapola. So Romney didn’t fit your idea of a true conservative: he won the brutal primaries. There was tremendous opportunity starting last year to run that true conservative but if I recall none of them won.

I hope it felt everso good to write yourself in. I notice the GOP got 2 million LESS votes than McCain did...Good Job!

Do you want a list of Tea Party winners and see the betting average of TP candidates? The list is long.

Mourock and Akin are ignorant of Pro-life issue. They let the MSM framed the narrative. The question was easy.

But do you know why Romney and Ryan lost? They just dismissed the social issue. It has be addressed clearly.

Joe Miller? You know why he lost to Mrsiskdkkskkdk. Mwskkskerkksksk used an Alinksy tactic.

Hoffman? Angle? O’Donnel? Inexperience.

But the fundamental requirement is “a fighting conservative”, somehow who can articulate the Conservative Principles.

But be honest. all R&R had were pure rhetoric, no concrete and understable plan to solve the current issues.

That means the rule is: Being a conservative is much better than the more than million of youtube hits of Romney as a flip-flopping liar.

Same thing with Paul Ryan returning to Congress to re-fund Obamacare and the Republican caucus was marching a new bill repealing Obamacare.

Smooth sailing campaign? Maybe, that’s how R&R looked on TV.

But under the radar of MSM-loving voters? Liars and hypocrites.

A fighting conservative that lost the battle was ok. But a liberal republican nominee with halo of electability but later lost to election is so difficult to accept.

I’ve been on the receiving end of the tender mercies of Mormon discrimination, but I still voted for Romney. I’m really getting sick and tired of people who are not going to vote for a Republican so they can “teach them a lesson”. Oh Lord, we have a whole slug of wannabe teachers out there trying to teach people “a lesson”. I remember all those Perot voters teaching everyone a lesson. The lesson was eight years of Clinton. First, they’re not trained to be teachers. Second, they’re not smart enough to teach others. Third, who wants your lesson? Here’s their lesson, “I didn’t get my way so I’m taking my ball and going home!” Good lesson there. They’re going to get a lesson from Obama. I know it because he taught it a few years ago.”Elections have consequences.” That’s the lesson we’re all going to relearn. And we can all go out and build survival shelters and buy guns and the Democrats will take our money with taxes and spend it throwing each other parties while we try to figure out whether we can grow enough corn in the backyard to survive on.

I don’t know if I could be more proud of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan if I tried. I could cry at their courage. Having lived my whole life in the company of some of the finest of military men, I recognize the guts it takes to throw yourself into battle come what may. They gave it all. They spent every bit of themselves, mentally, spiritually, physically, financially. Day after day and night after night these two men and their families dedicated themselves to the nation they love. Only to be told by those who didn’t go, that they didn’t do enough. They didn’t think the right way enough. So, the old anti-war chant “Hell, no, we won’t go....to the polls to vote.” comes into play. As they fought for us and our Constitution, fourteen million zealots stood on the sidelines.......watching. This must have been a nightmare for Evangelicals. What to do? Help these two brave warriors who each belong to what Evangelicals call cults (Mormonism and Catholicism) or do we stand there? It must have been hard to explain to the kids how one can turn away from the battlefield while screaming “Leave no man behind.”Five hundred former generals and admirals supported them thru public declaration. Athletes and hopeful Hollywood put their name on endorsements. Romney and Ryan gave us everything they had. They had no flaws in their character. They had wonderful families to be role models for American kids. But Evangelicals,( who attacked Rick Perry also, but supported Newt Gingrich in South Carolina) decided to eat popcorn during the most historic election of our lifetime. They stayed home. Am I proud of Romney and Ryan? You bet.
