Yeah. I don’t believe that fielding more Black and Latino GOP candidates will make a difference.

And the GOP will not nominate West for President next time.

What race issue? Blacks are good as long as they follow the democrats. Same as it ever was. Obama is a slave, too. Silly fools.

It’s about the government party giving things away far more than race overall.

What a topsy-turvy world we live in. None of this makes sense. None of it!

“those two were great conservatives...where the hell did that get them?....”

We have to understand what we’re really up against and not what we want to be up against.

We are a one party state—The Republicans are now just a wing of the Democrats. It is over. Obama is a genius and we should get in line to support him and the new Socialist state. Lets work to amend the Constitution so he can serve 4 terms like FDR. Lets work to give him a house made up of Democrats in the next election. The people have spoken—even a RINO like Mittens couldn’t unseat Obama. No one could—Liberal media, Unions, Hollywood etc... its just too powerful.

Latino, yes it will.

Blacks, I think that’s a lost cause. We almost elected 4 Black Republicans. Instead just 1. But I don’t think having those 4 would have mattered. We are the Nazi party as far as Black people are concerned.

I am guessing Colin Powell will be SOS once Hillary is out.

Blacks with an R behind their name on election doesn’t seem to help. Blacks are just trained to vote Democrat to get the Obama Phone goodies.

Saw a preacher blasting Obama over gay marriage. Of course, he’s VOTING FOR HIM. ??

Someone disagrees with you on fundamental issues such as abortion and homosexual marriage (which may force your church to perform these ceremonies or lose tax exempt status) yet you still support this candidate solely because of their race?

Sad.

It’s actually not a one-party state, it’s a “Dominant Party System” which is defined as a system where there is “a category of parties/political organizations that have successively won election victories and whose future defeat cannot be envisaged or is unlikely for the foreseeable future.”

Examples in the Western world include the Swedish Social Democratic Party in Sweden from 1932 to 1976, and the Norwegian Labour Party ruling from 1935 to 1965

Dominant Party is a good way to put it.

In the meantime, the GOP will be dragged inexorably Leftwards in order to remain viable.

Don’t count on it. If the GOP attempts to become a completely centrist party, embracing abortion, debt, welfare, etc, their support will simply collapse underneath them.

I’d rather live in a openly majority-backed dictatorship than a banana republic.

Interesting analysis. And historically your comment that the "minority" party will inexorably be dragged leftwards is also correct as seen from the Swedish perspective. However, when the change eventually came, it came via a true conservative who got fed up with the timid party hierarchy and took over the party leadership in something of a coup.

His message eventually (and continuously) helped to unset the almost unbeatable social democrats. But it took more than 2 election cycles, and even then it took another few election cycles to safely post the conservatives at a level between 20 - 25%. (Coalition governments are very common not only in Sweden but most European countries with a proportional voting system.)

Note, however, that the change in Sweden took place during the red 70s, a coupleof years before Reagan and Thatcher transformed the international standing of conservatism.

As I understand it however, they took similar positions to those of the Social Democrats. The only party that seems to actually hold conservative views would be the Sweden Democrats (whom I am hoping will one day liberate their land).
