That’s true and that is part of the reason I’m not proud of my feelings. I’m thinking of all the upper middle class Americanized Jews who end every Seder with “next year in Israel” brag about their heritage and go on about how important it is to send their kids on a “birth right” trip, while not realizing how tenuous their homeland’s existence is.
