For love or luck's sake, Notre Dame will find way to BCS title game
Sporting News ^ | November 5, 2012 | David Whitley

Republicans say polls favoring Barack Obama are rigged. Democrats say polls showing Mitt Romney will win are a joke.

I say any poll indicating Notre Dame won’t play for the national championship cannot be taken seriously.

And yes, I mean the BCS. It cannot be immune to the insanity that strikes whenever the Irish are sniffing a title.

Yes, I agree. He will be just fine for this week, if needed.

There is still a lot of football to be played.... for everybody.

Best,

MFO

I have to believe they have one good game in them this year.

Offenses like Oregon’s are great, until...your opponent has a month to prepare for it.

You’ve got to be solid on both sides of the ball to win it all, because if you give a quality team a month to prepare (and Oregon will be facing a quality team) they will find a way to defend any offensive juggernaut.

ND has the most fans.

Ask the average person who the best team is, and they’ll say Alabama.

Plus, it would be the matching of two legendary programs. No doubt it would be a huge ratings winner.

BEGORRA!

The latest Notre Dame game proved to me that GOD is on Notre Dame's side.

Coming back from an 8 point deficit with a combined touchdown and a TWO POINT conversion ... was a modern day miracle.

But, then again, Boston College is a Jesuit school.

It's going to be a God against God game.

Yeah absolutely, just like they got embarrassed by the Sooners in Norman, OK on a National stage.

I know nothing about Louisville football except that they’re undefeated. I’m just a disgruntled pro-playoff curmudgeon.

See:

2010 TCU
2009 Boise State
2008 Utah
2006 Boise State
2004 Utah
1999 Marshall
1998 Tulane

“Auburn has sorta sucked all the joy about hating them right out of the room this year.”

There is always joy in hating on Allbarn.

USC will beat down ND like Oregon State did several years ago in the Guests Bowl. Oregon State was much bigger, faster and stronger. It was total domination from start to finish. Oregon State had two first round defensive ends and two future all-pro side receivers.

Notre Dame has no chance against USC.

Boston College, a/k/a Fredo College or Bookie College, is a gehenna of heretical filth. God may not care about the scores of football games, but His Mother does. ND to be 10-0 after Saturday night.

God Made Notre Dame #1!!!!!

There is much truth in what you say. Still, when they are not giving you any argument, what's the point?

You know what I'd like to see? Auburn and Bama both come undefeated to the Iron Bowl, played at Auburn, of course. Auburn leads until the final play when Bama WINS by ONE point on a disputed play.

How cruel would that be?

Rammer Jammer would NEVER sound so sweet.

God Made Notre Dame

And why God stuck it in South Bend we'll never know.

And Notre Dame isn't a monastery any more.

Are the co-ed girls still living across the highway?

I’m glad the Irish have a decent team, but they won’t be in the championship. I doubt they’ll get by USC which would effectively bounce them from consideration.
