WHY I AM BETTER OFF NOW THAN 4 YEARS AGO
na | 11/05/12 | Glacier Honey

Are you better off now than you were 4 years ago is the question that has come up the most and I personally can say YES, I am, and here is why" How about you?

The day after Obama was elected I went and purchased my first pistol and enrolled in a class to get my conceal carry.

I bought myself a little compressor and taught myself how to blow out my sprinklers and fired the company I had been using for 9 years because of their Obama stickers on their vehicles. I charged 5 of my neighbors $15 each to blow out their sprinklers who also used the same landscaping company.

I stopped (along with my friends) going to our favorite Mexican restaurant because of their open support for Obama. That restaurant that was there for 7 years went out of business last year.

Before 2008 I was a lock and step republican and I was so confused over the last election because of the Iraq war and the economy. I educated myself more and I now realize that I liked Bush because he is a social conservative but I do not like that he is NOT fiscally conservative.

I no longer talk politics at work or debate with anyone who classifies all republicans as evil or hating poor people. All politicians are corrupt so some level. The system is broken and there are too may people who feel entitled to my money.

I paid off all my credit card debt and have lived debt free for that last 3 years.

Best of all..... I met a man in my conceal carry class and we were married 7/16/10. We bought some property in the mountains for cash instead of having a big wedding. and I rent my house out for a profit. We now have 3 rental properties together!!! We ride our ATV's have lots of guns and love the outdoors and live a very quiet life debt free and help needy families in our church when we can.

I pray Obama is not re-elected but if he is, I know I'll be ok because we live within our means and work hard.

And... by the way, I no longer have to blow out my own sprinklers!

When the Roman Empire collapsed, what saved Western civilization was unassuming Christian monks quietly copying and preserving its best ideas while Europe was being purged of its decadent excess.

What will save American civilization is folks like you. And the monks again. :)

I needed that. What a great story! Even better than lemonade and it gives me hope. I’d like to have my own story like that one day.

Inspiring.

I'm better off because I know some neighbors who have purchased weapons in the relatively safe community of south Orange County since Bambi took office. We now have a true Neighborhood Watch for any Zombie attack heading our way once they've finished with their inner city. We will be the next Koreans, as in the Rodney King riots.

Also, those who have stock in public weapons manufacturers are better off.

Did you keep your air compressor ?

A air compressor is a very versatile tool/machine to have.
Since you don't need it to blow out the sprinklers out anymore you can get a miter saw, band saw, table router and build small furniture, crafts, wood toys since you live up in the mountains.
Do you have a lot of hard wood trees up there ? oak ? maple ? walnut ? cherry ?
Doesn't have to even be hard woods either, can be fir, pines, or Populus ( Popular tree ).

If Obozo steals this election, I’m going to do all I can to make your story be my story as quickly as I possibly can. If Romney wins this election, I’m going to do all I can to make your story be my story as quickly as I possibly can.

no, we sold it because my husband already had 3 of them. He is a machinist and grew up very poor. His parents invested in rental property and now own 6 houses free and clear and they pay us to manage them since they are retired.

I didn’t get married until my 40’s (I have no children but have 3 great step kids) so I already had all the tools you mentioned below because I like to do as much as I can by myself.

We didn’t live together until we were married and since he was debt free it was very important for me to pay off my debt which was about $6K.

We live in metro Denver and bouth 3.22 acreas in the mountains - very private and heavily wooded and never developed. Our area has not been hit too hard buy the pine beetles so we are lucky.

I got my very own chainsaw for Christmas last year - a 14 inch that is easier for me to cut wood for.

I have to admit my husband is on the cheap side but... I’d take that any day over someone who can’t live within their means and piles on the debt.

Even though I had good credit, I would still carry a balance on my 2 credit cards and it feels great not to owe anyone (except mortgages) and to have a savings account.

“I pray Obama is not re-elected but if he is, I know I’ll be ok because we live within our means and work hard.”

I have a VERY hard time convincing ANY of my liberal friends that while having the ‘grown ups’ in charge bodes well for us as a Nation, it really matters little, INDIVIDUALLY, who we have in The White House IF you’re self-sufficient, don’t live beyond your means, Praise God and are GRATEFUL for the blessings He bestows upon you.

They just do not get it. They’re so flippin’ HELPLESS and ready to blame anything that goes wrong in their lives on ANYONE other than themselves...or their POOR CHOICES!

Remind me: Why am I friends with these people? LOL! Mainly it’s out of pity...but if 0bama is re-elected, that ends. Immediately. I mean, they won’t need me OR my free advice, will they? 0bama will just give them more ‘stuff’ and they’ll slide further down the Economic Food Chain.

Idiots. Seriously.

P.S. It would be in MY self-interest to vote for 0bama. As a Contrary Investor (betting against the markets), he’s made me a LOT of cash these past four years. I cannot however, in clear conscience, vote for 4 more years of his socialist crapola...
