deliberately faithless; treacherous; deceitful: a perfidious lover.

Etymology: Origin: 1590–1600; < Latin perfidiōsus faithless, dishonest. See perfidy, -ous

Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.

Good Morning Class. Welcome to School!

Here is my example with WFTD.

The polls can say what they will; i don't see how we can lose when the perfidious REPUBLICANS that voted for Obams last time will NOT do so again. Moreover, there have to be a SLEW of disillusioned dems who will stay home or vote Romney. So commonsense says Romney will win. PLEASE GOD LET IT BE TRUE! my friend just texted me that there is going to be holy hour of adoration at St. James in Falls Church tonight for the election. i need to try to go!

Perfidious

The fellas at the Turkey Stuffing and Embalming Emporium liked your definition till you usd the word school, that has so many bad memories the stuffers and ‘balmers here came up with their own defintion since the meaning of words is as flexible as a politicians spine. Any who....

Perfidious is like fastidious but slower. The second wife, April, (I think that was her name..maybe not..might’ve been when we split up or married or something) anyway April was fast at cleaning, do the whole trailer in an hour, she could.
She kept yapping about fidelity, which I took to mean cleaning the mud off my boots before I came in, I just wasn’t fidious enough but I said I’d try harder tommorrow. I just wasn’t perfect perfidious, I guess, as the stuffers and ‘balmers say.

That’s what the guys worked out. Perfidious is clay on your feet.
