The chart above details D & R percentages from the 2008 and 2010 elections by county in PA. The figures from 2008 are from the presidential election. The figures from 2010 are from the gubernatorial election.

Note the highlighted counties. These are the only counties that remained Democratic in 2010. I fully expect that Philadelphia will go for Obama. Allegheny (Pittsburgh) is going to be very close. We will see how Delaware and Montgomery go, but it will not be like 2008.

Overall, there is a huge trend in the state for the remaining counties - an 11% shift towards Republicans. Conservatively, I would box that shift to be between 8% and 12%.

Pennsylvania is a red state outside of a few counties. From what I have observed in the state is that people are highly motivated to vote against Obama. I do not see people highly motivated to vote for Obama.

Another interesting statistic is change in voter registration. From the PA Dept. of State, since 12/28/2008, 117,438 D's changed to R. 44,213 I's changed to R. Compare that to 71,994 R's change to D. and 50,290 I's change to D. That is over 39k to R. I would only look at that from a momentum stand point. I would also suspect that a lot of the R's to D happened shortly after Obama became president.

I hope Romney/Ryan remind the Pennsylvanians about Obama’s remark about the bitter clingers in areas like PA.

I do not see people highly motivated to vote for Obama.

I think the dropoff in Jewish support for Obama in this area is going to surprise people.

This just in:

The latest Pennsylvania absentee ballot returns are in and show Republicans opening up a 19-point lead over the Democrats — a 17-point swing from the 2008 absentee results.

See: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2954896/posts

That is what I call motivation.

There are a number of very stong Tea Party groups in Pa. They haven’t gone away, they are just being conservative. No need to protest.

How much of that is from D's wanting to vote in the Repub primary, while still intending to vote for Obama?

There may be some that did that, but I do not recall any concerted movement to do so. The last time there was an organized effort to switch parties and vote in a primary was in 2008 (Hillary vs. Obama), and those switching were Republicans.

On C-SPAN A guy named Rudy from a former communist country and lived under Nazi Germany said with Obama, 4 more years will be 4 more years living under poverty.
The guy before him who must have been a liberal said that he's going to boycott Republican business.

90, 000 fewer workers in Pennsylvania now than when [Benghazi-Coward] Obama took office in 2009, according to Dana Perino on “The Five” today.

Yep, saw that. There’s also 240,000+ jobs related to Marcellus Shale gas drilling/fracking in PA. Add that to all the coal jobs. These people are not voting for Obama.

On C-SPAN now Debbie Witcherman is trying to convince people how Obama is going to win Florida with their great ground game in Florida.... I had to turn it off.
