Full title: SNL’s Gov. Christie Hates Voting For Romney, Mayor Bloomberg Threatens To Arrest Obama If He Comes To NYC

On tonight’s Saturday Night Live, faux versions of NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie made appearances, goofing on their respective attitudes in wake of Hurricane Sandy.

Fred Armisen‘s Bloomberg praised his sign-language interpreter’s “pizzazz” and said that while he intends to vote for President Barack Obama, if the president shows up in Manhattan with his big motorcade right now… things are going to get pretty ugly. Like… “you’re going to get arrested” ugly.

Bobby Moynihan‘s Christie showed up with a stereotypically big-haired, Jersey-like interpreter, while he went off on how he wants to violently attack Sandy. The governor also described how much he hates voting for Republican candidate Mitt Romney because, in his mind, President Obama handled the hurricane so damn well.

This is good for a laugh (and if you're stressed out like me, you need a good laugh). The sign-language interpreters are particularly funny.

My wife is a fan of the band "Fun", so I watched SNL for the first time in many years.

The interpreter was funny, when she signed for Obama, she held her ears out, to imitate Obama's ears. That got a big laugh. And for "Arrested", she did the perp walk like a penguin.

Overall, I was still a bit surprised at how one sided they were. They had "Romney" on during the news, and they lampooned him. I actually thought they MIGHT have "Obama" on after that, but no.

I dont know if its just my bad memory, but I dont recall when SNL treated a politician with such kid gloves, I mean, they ripped Clinton, Gore, even made fun of Carter. Of course I dont have to mention how they savage Republicans. But so little against Obama.. So pathetic and so obvious.

I loved the Joisey sign-language interpreter. Perfect.

The interpreter gig was fun but I turned off when it got political with the one-sided news bit.

Only watched the interpreter bit because SNL was on the channel when I walked in the room.

I gave up on SNL when it sunk to 8th grade humor.

Thanks for posting that. It was a belly laugh. Rare for commies at SNL these days. The Jersey interpreter cracked me up the most. LOL
