Wallace lets Axelrod get away with it

Chris Wallace had David Axelrod on today as a guest. Wallace asked hard questions regarding Benghazi, the election, and other matters. In every case, Axelrod responded with canned, emotionless election campaign noise that did not answer any of the questions. Not one. And Wallace let him get away with it.
I had thought Wallace a far better reporter. OTOH, Axelrod, besides being robotic, had the flat air of someone who knows he has already lost. I'll hold that feeling throughout Wednesday. Perhaps that's why Wallace let him slide.

Wallace is smart enough to know all he'd get in follow ups from that life-like talking points robot is the same garbage regurgitated in slightly different sized chunks. Bravo for not wasting the air time.
I think if Romney takes all three states in Axelrod's mustache sweepstakes, he should not shave his mustache but rather pluck it out with tweezers one wiry guitar string at a time.

Bingo. He's ineffectual and doesn't have the nuts to ask hard questions. Even, if by some slim chance one passes his lips, he's too cowardly to follow-up when stonewalled.
The only reason he's employed is because of his name; otherwise he'd be doing the weather in Peoria or something.
