"The Big Broadcast is a Sunday night tradition for families throughout the WAMU listening area. Each week, Big Broadcast host Ed Walker offers listeners priceless recordings of popular radio programs from the '30s, '40s and '50s. Priceless, especially, for a man whose first sentence as a child was, 'Turn the radio on.' "

Hi Gina, thanks for the info.

FR is slow. Your week was good? There was drama but Sandy decided to move north at the last minute and spared us.

Evening, folks......

"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away, for his name is Obama."

Hi, Vision!

I’ve been on the phone with my liberal uncle in Tucson and missed Dragnet and Gunsmoke. Gads, it’s hard to talk to a true-blue liberal. I love him to pieces though.

Yeah, FR is buggy around election time and debate times. I know FReepers are frustrated.

Our week was uneventful, thankfully. I’m nervous about next week.

I hope your week was good and the next one better! :-)

Hi, Viking! It’s good to see you!

I know the site is really hard to post comments on right now, but I surely hope you and Mrs. Viking are getting along very well!

Man! NBC really changed Poe’s stories from what they really were. I’ve read most of Poe’s work, and I can hear the changes.

BTW, if you turn your sidebar off FR gets much faster.

The Poe stories weren’t disappointing, but for a purist, I noticed the slight story changes. No biggie, really.

Thanks for the sidebar tip!
