What if Obama wins.
...I have weapons suitable for general home defense but in the event of a sneak attack inside my house what is the prefered handgun to put under my pillow that has the best stopping power yet is not so powerful as to pass through the jack booted Obama thug and harm my people in the other rooms.
FR is the home of both firearm experts and understanders of the 2nd Amendment...opinions will be taken seriously.

It will speed the collapse somewhat over a Romney victory (and fix the blame more correctly in the eyes of those about to be awakened). The financial collapse is coming either way. The re-institution of the Constitution has it’s best chances after the collapse although the interim will make NY and NJ after Sandy look like happy days. Keep your powder dry.

The 2nd Amendment was the fail safe the Founders gave us for such a situation.
If Obama can trip the voting machines, and comes out ahead, which is really unlikely, I´d think he´s got a LOT of apologizing to do. Remember when he said when he came into office the mess he found. Just imagine the mess that´s piled up on Inauguration Day 2013, and no one to blame but himself. Then he´ll face a VERY different Senate, and a Congress, and it will be gridlock big time, and people will be screaming for impeachment. The MSM will finally wake up and realize that we had a fake serving as President, that wasn´t even a real natural born citizen. Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid will be orgasmic if Obama wins.

The best handgun, in most situations, is the largest caliber that you can shoot accurately. The best way to avoid hitting friendlies is not to shoot at them in the first place- rearrange the furniture so that shots fired from the bed do not pass through the walls in ways likely to hit someone in the other room. Most modern homes are made of flimsy stuff and will be penetrated easily by any handgun worthy of the name. If you were to limit yourself to guns that didn’t penetrate drywall, for example, the .25 and .32 ACP cartridges will be good candidates, but unfortunately both also are notoriously bad at penetrating bad guys. So my advice- whatever handgun you use for other purposes, use for this one, unless it is a BFR or a S&W .500, or something of that ilk. If you use one of those you might as well get a rifle.
I agree with your premise. This will be a prelude to the breakup of the United States into Confederation of States with similar ideologies, similar to the breakup of the Soviet Union. The Constitution was a fabulous document that Progressives chipped away at over the last 100 years, such that it has become just an historical document without the limitations it was suppose to impose through enumerated powers. As a Libertarian, my hope is that the Great Republic of Texas will embrace the US Constitution as a framework for freedom, and any other states that want to join us will be welcome.
If Romney wins, the breakup will likely proceed peacefully. However, if Obama wins, The Marxist wouldn't hesitate to murder thousands of liberty seeking Americans to forcefully impose his New World Socialist Order. Civil War is just about guaranteed

The world is made up of a lot of strange people. Most of them scare me to death. Even armed, your life hangs in the balance when you’re dealing with someone who doesn’t think the same way you do. I’ve even experienced the fear feeling in the comfort setting of FR.
At any given time Rush has twenty million listeners a day. I’m sure between ten and twenty percent don’t think the same way he does. People may be surprised to know, that second in listener-ship to Rush is the host of Coast to Coast am, George Noory. George comes in at about sixteen million listeners and ranks around 7th in most influential talk show hosts. To measure anyone’s value or impact by the makeup of the audience is to underestimate the fact that a lot of people like me have trouble sleeping at night. I tune in his show just because. I’ve never seen a ghost in my life. I’ve never seen a UFO or Big Foot......but I’m a listener, not a follower. Last night George opened his show as he usually does with updates from a variety of people who report on different events. (One of those who sometimes reports is Dr Corsi.). Last night one of the analysts said that Obama wins this election because of the electoral college. It was a brief summary of the reasons behind the analysis which were beside the point. My blood ran cold because I knew it was a strong possibility. It was cut
and dried....out to sixteen million listeners.
It is clear that Romney can win the popular vote, even by millions, and still lose the election because of a focused campaign run by Obama.
If anyone knows how to post that segment of Coast to Coast am, I would appreciate hearing it again. I hope I misunderstood.

If BOzo gets a 2nd term I believe we’ll witness at what point people will finally say ‘enough is enough’. I think the puppeteers would get greedy and accelerate the ‘boiling frog’ method too quickly. One of the things I think they’d go for is a serious gun grab. Also the economy will continue its designed collapse and then there’s BOzocare which is going to be an absolute nightmare when it kicks in.
If the SEAL’s are coming after you, it won’t matter what they are wearing there will probably be a Barrett aiming at you anyway.
I think we will find that the kenyan already has his civilian army/Praetorian Guard. TSA and SIEU to start; big city police forces.Most of the Federal agencies have large and growing armed and trained enforcement forces, including the Education Department. These forces will prove to be loyal to The One. The military will be shifted overseas much more than it is now and the ongoing purge of the officer corps will be ramped up and include the NCOs. By the time the generals and the troops know that it is time to act to save the Republic all the relevant personnel and officers will be retired, dead, or in prison.
We are most likely to see social unrest if Romney wins.
Not because Romney is radical, but because Obama supporters are an unstable bunch that are likely to throw a fit.
Should that happen, they will do it in the public square.
I doubt very much that your home will be invaded as a result of the election.

Don’t Get Swept up in O(mob)ama Mentality: Surviving the Romney Riots

Be it conspiracy theory or not, there is Internet chatter about planned riots after the election if President Obama does not win. Historically, riots have occurred during time of intense political strife, racial tension, and harsh economic conditions. In the coming days and weeks, the time is ripe for people to be angry and frustrated following the outcome of the election. Regardless of your political affiliation, everyone thinks the other candidate is going to destroy America; whether through taking away our rights or taking away our money, neither one will we tolerate. Though there is no way to predict exactly when and where civil unrest will happen, it is best to prepare just in case violent rioting breaks out in your city.

IF—and its really an if—Obama wins by cheating, or numbers or what ever—he will not finish his term in office. Scandals will come put of which Benghazi is only one of many. The new GOP congress will keep him from doing much but—little will be done until he’s out of power.

If Obama wins, nothing happens for a while. If Romney wins, you know what areas to avoid. You will be fine at home. Just be careful when you go out. Riots aren’t going to be the problem, those will end in a night or two. Ongoing individual hate crimes against whites will be the problem.
Avoidance of certain areas and situational awareness is the ticket. If you live in an urban/diversified area, a concealed carry permit would be a good idea. You should already have that.
