This is your Turner Classic Movie channel alert!
I've posted this film before but what can I say, it's fantastic and it's election time...
Tonight...All the King's Men(1950), 8pm est
"A backwoods politician rises to the top only to become corrupted."
Overview & Cast
Elmer Gantry is another. Perfect for the election.
I just saw the original Frankenstein and the Bride of Frankenstein, last night in the movies thanks to TCM!
It was just WONDERFUL!!!
I just love Karloff as Frankenstein and Elsa Lanchester was so good as his reluctant bride.
Well, he didn’t even buy her a pizza. No wonder it was a no hitter;)
I do hope TCM keeps this up, the movies today are awful and I would love to see Lon Chaney as the Wolfman on the big screen.
Great film.
Yep, that’s why these threads exist. Don’t know about the big screen but there was a thread on the Wolfman a while back. Love that.
TCM is fantastic during the month of October. They’ll be showing a whole bunch of old horror flicks for the remainder of the month.
While not Wolfman, nor big screen, TCM is offering 4 Lon Cheney movies coming up. Oliver Twist, The Phantom of the Opera, The Unknown, and London After Midnight.
Elmer Gantry was shown last Friday. I’ve DVR’d it, but haven’t had a chance to watch it yet.
