Dear Yahoo Mail: Goodbye.
Oct 23, 2012 | By Laz

Posted on 10/23/2012 5:53:59 AM PDT by Lazamataz

I've had it with Yahoo Mail. Oh, it's fine technically, it's the politics. Apparantly the CEO of Yahoo is an Obama Bundler, which would be fine (not really), but he lets his politics control the news stories printed. Yahoo News has become the MSNBC of the internet.

So, GOODBYE, Yahoo. It's obvious we must part company. Your mail service is free but you make money on my participation (ad revenue), and this I cannot abide.

Anyone have any ideas for good, stable free email services that AREN'T liberal?

I have the same problem with AOL and the Huffington Post. They actually have Obama ads on their main page. They don’t even try to hide their bias anymore.

Let me know what you find out. I have a verizon e-mail which uses Yahoo as the engine.

Every time I bring up the login page, it’s obama this, snookie that, justin bieber the other thing. Quite annoying.

Is everyone really that celebrity obsessed? I find it to be the most incredibly boring topic.

You can get a Free Republic email address to use as a forwarder - I've never used my email address myself but it's there. I think you need to be a monthly contributor to get it. Anyway, below are the instructions that come with mine. You will still need to stick with Yahoo or Gmail or whatnot to receive them, but the libs there probably won't be happy having to receive all that forwarded email from such a conservative site!

As a valued supporter of Free Republic, we have reserved samadams76@freerepublic.com for your use. E-mail sent to this address will be forwarded to your Contact E-mail address. Current Value: Forwarding Enabled

I agree with your sentiment, however what Yahoo also does is NOT skew, or limit what people think in their postings.

Skewing the news to a liberal slant is fine with me as long as they acknowledge the bias, and if you allow real viewpoints to be voiced around that slant.

The majority of views are certainly NOT liberal!

I wish we had true email address portability.

I’d leave them all in a heartbeat.

Verizon, which you have to pay for, pops up Obammie the Commie ads WHEN YOU OPEN YOUR EMAIL. When the service is working, of course, which is only about 70% of the time.

That’s right, you PAY THEM to ADVERTISE THEIR CANDIDATE.

I hate Verizon.

Yes Yahoo storied are almost all liberal stories but then again the news services like AP are all liberal; and so is the mainstream media where Yahoo gets the stories.

Yahoo’s software also sends stories to the front page when they get a lot of hits. And thousands of liberals click these stories to get them to the front page. Maybe we should do the same with stories (if there are any) that expose Obama etc.

Try Mail.com

It lacks any lib flavoring. It's free and you can choose from a huge list of possible domain names...

mail.com
dr.com
accountant.com
usa.com
bartender.com...
...whatever.

Feed the masses a steady diet of garbage, served up 24/7 and delivered direct.

While the news and information that is important is twisted, manipulated and buried.

Your mail service is free...

True, for basic. I have been paying a fee for years for extra storage space on Yahoo mail. I need it because I get so much spam that I don't have time to delete it. I have over 200,000 unread emails now.

Just opened up a mail.com account yesterday. I'm sort of wondering if my choice of "usa.com" suffix was the best choice I could have made.

One can stay with the ".mail" suffix of course, nice & simple. There are many others to choose from, also.

Try www.myway.com. Free email, News content without the Yahoo spin, with much more control over the content. I’ve got sections set up for news, business, and sports. Granted, it’s AP headlines, but even they tend to be less inflammatory than Yahoo.

The CEO is a "she", not a "he".

Yahoo CEO Marissa Meyer. (And don't tell us you wouldn't hit it)
