I don’t know about what he should say to obumbles, but his very first comment of the night, no matter the question, should be:
“Before I begin, I would like to set the record straight on one thing. Mr. President, I did what you asked and ‘read the transcript’ of your Rose Garden comments after the Libya attacks of 9/11, and despite what you and Ms. Crowley claimed during the last debate you NEVER called the attacks an Act of Terror.”
